In WarThunder, helicopters are invisible to Pulse Doppler radar. The spinning main rotor blades should create a huge radar signature that would be visible for PD, even when the helicopter is on the ground.
Radar is very odd near ground and on hovering choppers in wt, i suspect its part of gaijin’s way of “balancing” radar munitions. In dcs you can hit ground level choppers with radar missiles just fine
It’s not balancing, it’s just a trait of their in-progress radar code.
Radars depending on the mode should be able to see the helicopter blades because of what I believe to be doppler shift? Moving target identification I think helps with this, I could be wrong.

It is a very fair and balanced mechanic, making all helicopters completely immune to SARH and ARH missiles (along with IR missiles for helicopters equipped with LDIRCM)
Game considers the rotors as a single ‘polygon’ not their own radar signature producing entity, so they’re basically ‘static’ meaning a helicopter in the range of ~15 MPH, on its X-Y-Z axes is considered ‘ground clutter’ by the radars.
It is so frustrating, especially when using any of the top tier AA
