Why are 90% of the maps i get always CQC?

It’s just annoying really, considering quite a lot of the tanks especially going towards the top tiers are more tuned to long range fighting rather than street fighting, especially vehicles which rely soley on long range/hull down to be used to their fullest.

I’ve recently started using the LOSAT again after the missile smoke fix and the issue of maps is massive for it, get a CQC map? tough luck enjoy being useless.

while i get the issue of stock grinding on long range maps while facing LRF, the other side of the coin is long range maps can offer diffrent strategies rather than the current meta of “Hold W and shoot first while going past a corner”

even for low tier, yes i get its difficult to rangefind past 1000 meters using the rangefinder or your own eyes, (most low tiers just have the mk 1 eyeball and unless you have a costum sight to aid) but it just feels way more rewarding and like an actual skill hitting 1000+ meter shots. (esp with gaijins rubberbandy ghost imagery at longer range)

Gaijin is of the opinion that the grand majority of the community prefers fast paced, CQB style maps with close together spawns as opposed to large style maps with normal irl engagement distances.

On most maps there are still certain places where the LOSAT is viable but on just as many if not more the LOSAT is worse than a SAM system in terms of anti tank capabilities.

It’s a game design “issue” and that’s why the LOSAT is an event vehicle instead of a tec tree one.

Tanks are not meant for sniping. Yes, that also counts for the losat. Unlucky, you gotta sit behind buildings to play cornerfkaroo with 0 pen missiles before they are up to speed. (Not my opinion but thats what a moderator once said in the forum)
