The refinement of internal structure was forcibly introduced into the game by Gaijin without allowing players to test it. It has been over three months now, and I am curious whether anyone likes this so-called ‘new mechanism’? The addition of a series of internal structures did not allow players to one shot these vehicles that were previously can’t. However, players using vehicles with refined internal structures endure longer repair times and nauseating hit feedback.
What do you think? I really want to hear your thoughts. Should we request Gaijin to remove this mechanism from the game?
I’m sorry, but they only chose to add new internal modules. Hit feedback is the same as before. And the effects were voted against so they weren’t added.
I want them to add it to aircraft. So… Yes, I think it’s good
They are adding the modules to helicopters. kinda broke all helicopters that don’t have the new modules, but I’m sure that will be sorted out cause its a bug.
Can we initiate a proposal vote to request gaijin to withdraw this mechanism? At least on ground vehicles.
Why it works fine on them and it only affected a couple tanks, though I have noticed that repair times have increased across the board.
If we don’t say anything, gaijin will continue to add until it affects almost all vehicles and causes more people to suffer.I think they should cancel this complex and useless mechanism, or at least improve it, such as introducing a manual mode that preserves the negative effects of destroying these new components but does not completely prevent players from using damaged vehicles, such as retaining manual operation mode when electronic devices and autoloaders are damaged.
Only high tiers, there’s only a few low tiers with new modules.
But something that I don’t like is how the Type 87 SPAA became so bad for combat ground × ground. It’s just terrible nowadays.
Yes I take a shot in the turret with no complains but the fact that I can’t retaliate is terrible as the FCS module takes all the entire turret. So I just take a shot, can’t reply, and worse, not even flee from the place with the slow Type 74 chassis.
Please use the survival onion:
1- Don’t be seen.
2- Don’t be shot at.
3- Don’t be hit.
4- Don’t be penned.
5- Don’t die.
Internal modules are a welcome addition.
Learn from experience, and learn new things for tomorrow.
Depends, on the receiving end, it’s not great, on the dishing out side, it’s loads of fun.
However, the bug with helicopters being disabled by a single 7.62 round is a Minor Inconvenience that isn’t realistic.
Afaik the helicopter modules weren’t voted on but the actual ground vehicle ones were. The extra modules were tested on the dev server rather than the live server. Personally I like them, vehicles that once had a lot of empty space now have better damage models so all in all its a good change.
Forcibly introduced? Players asked for it in the first place, same with the new Heli models.
All because the 2S38 and Ka-50 didn’t explode violently when you sneezed on them.
It was tested in 2 separate dev servers across 2 major updates.
Do you like tail-less Ka-50/52s flying around flinging rockets / missiles at you, despite missing somewhat important electronics?
Do you like 2S38s acting as a MASSIVE blob of empty space, causing every APFSDS shot to be ineffective?
Do you like your APFSDS squeezing harmlessly through an autoloader because it contains many spall-stopping plates?
All of these are fixed with these changes.
I am absolutely LOVING that Hydraulic Pump module they added in every single Abrams right in the middle of the tank behind the weakest armor available. As if they weren’t easy to disable before now it’s just a joke having basically any hit result in losing your horizontal aiming on you cannon. Why only Abrams and Leos? Why are we giving some and not all again? At this point I am certain this is being done intentionally to keep US equipment in it’s current state. Just look what they did to all my helicopters I regularly used and now simply can’t. I don’t think they need to be adding any new systems and instant be improving current systems that aren’t optimal. Just making it easier for players on the edge to just walk away for good and that’s not good for anyone.
The change was voted in by players, and was added to fix the current state of vehicles having lots of “empty space” on their damage models that caused nothing to happen when hit, where in real life there most definitely would be stuff there that would seriously hinder operation if it was hit.
Vehicles like the 2S38 and indeed most helicopters have always been notorious for this.
While it does sound like helis have become a bit too fragile with the change (havent played one yet to see for myself) I do think the change is a good thing in general, Its really annoying watching your 120mm APFSDS shell enter the cockpit of an enemy heli, fly out through the tail and do absolutely nothing to his ability to continue flying and firing ATGMs at you
Has this problem been resolved? my round still eaten by the new autoloader module, and tanks using autoloaders now also face longer repair times.
Developers did not allow players to test before the player vote (not like the APHE test),it just released directly on the dev server after the player votes, without giving players any choice.
I didn’t feel an increase in the kill rate of refined vehicles like 2s38,his fuel tank still eating my rounds, but a casual hit caused a lot of damage to their internal components, makes me guilty.
that’s what i say.In terms of gameplay, adding these internal components not only makes players who love these vehicles more disgusted when play them, but I can’t think of any positive effects it would have. PUMA, M1 and other vehicles used to have no gaming issues, but they were added with a large number of internal modules, causing them to lose some of their previous abilities. I even think this is a decision made by gaijin to force 2S38 to stay at 10.0 in order to not change its BR,then they decide to ruin all other tank players gameplay.
I have no objection to the modifications made to the helicopter, but I believe that if Gaijin claims that this is a “realistic change,” then tanks and armored vehicles in ground battle should have manual backups. Currently, just hitting the power supply equipment would cause the tank to be completely unable to rotate the turret, but what about reality? engineer always keep manual backup when designing armored vehicles. Similarly, both French and Soviet autoloaders kept the manual operation mode. The Chinese even put on round behind the commander to ensure that the loader could be loaded in case of jamming(u can find it in ZTZ96),If gaijin insists on adding these things, corresponding manual backups should also be added.
In this way, although the damaged components may cause the stabilizer to fail and the loading time to be prolonged, autocannon such as 2S38 without manual mode cannot continue loading, but they can still maintain some ability to fighting back, not just let players to J out.
