Which of the soviet planes to get?

I hate that I saw this sale because there’s some stuff that I’m interested in.

Currently in my cart are clickbait and apache to help out grind my USA tree, and I want a soviet premium so I could grind air tree to catch up with my T-55 AM premium lineup.

Though I’ve seen some people mentioning that KVT is better buy, which I guess could make sense since I could lineup with my F-5 premium and I could avoid Premium spam of USA teams in top tier. Though I will get Squadron abrams soon so again, could mean I’ve a good lineup there too

If you want to play 10.0 CAS get the SU-25K

If you want to grind the Russian air tree get the MiG-23ML

If you want to grind the Russian helicopters get the KA-50 “Black Shark”

The Click-Bait’s lineup consists of the HSTV-L and the M1A1 HC, you have no SPAA options without pushing your BR to 11.7 making you face things like the KH-38ML which completely negates your SPAA anyway. Your expected win rate is <30%.

The KVT compliments the US 10.3 lineup with a second MBT as there is only one tech tree M1 Abrams at this BR range. The KVT is the better choice both for your sanity and for long term value as it actually benefits your tech tree lineup.

Mig-23ML it is since I’ve no interest in CAS.

I guess I will save money by getting KVT since then I don’t really need Apache.

If you get the KVT do not get the Click-Bait.

The Apache is helpful to grind US helicopters but unfortunately until AGM-114Ls are modeled they are uncompetitive. It is better to grind US CAS options which are plentiful.

Oh yeah, it was between KVT and Click-bait.

I’m not really interested in helicopters since I find them annoying. same with CAS. It was just an option to supplement my clickbait, but since it’s better to go for KVT, I won’t really need it. Like at all

Is the SU-39 worth it for cas? I got the su-25bm but it’s not a premium and the 39 has the pod so you can use the guided missiles easily.

You’ll barely find Su-39 in match maybe because the 11.3 BR on USSR is just made of 2 T-80s and 1 T-72.

Su-39, I can be wrong, has one of the longest range AGM missiles, 30km TV guided, isn’t so bad, and if you’re flying straight, just fire Vikhrs on the enemy or just use the classic Su players tool: S-25O rockets.

I think it’s just a navy version of the Su-25.

The su-39 is an export version of the su-25t (a tank busting variant of the su-25). However getting to max effective range of the kh-29te can be difficult due to needing a hi enough alt, something that is near suicidal in an su-25 based platform.

Would you guys say it’s also better to get A-10 for GRB compared to A-6E for my 10.3 lineup? since A-6E is 10.7

Hm. In the current environment I’d actually say go for the Su-25K as 10.0 is seeing mostly downtiers.
It’s not bad in ARB as well, R-60M can net you some solid results and the headon power it has in unparalleled ( only inferior to the A10s)

I’d say yes. Even useful in ARB, load stealth belts for the funny kills in headons and don’t get baited into stalls.

Dont get that, you will only play vs f16s and you will get destroyed fast.

I have a sale guide on this stuff and it has 5 Soviet planes covered in it.

If you want to 100% keep a 10.3 line up, yeah. The a6e was buffed when it got moved up so it is still good of you dont mind slightly uptiering your tanks to 10.7

Just a bit of input if it’s not too late, but since the update the MiG-23s are pretty useless. There’s not really a better option on sale at the moment, but if you wait until November (quite a while to be fair) there’s the absolutely busted MiG-21S that’d be far better to grind out the tree.

Trust me, those are not worth your money. Grab the KVT only, and try to pick up the striker next time it goes on sale (or use the GE from the KVT pack to help you buy it). The clickbait is in a horrible spot at the moment, as it can be quite lackluster given its matchmaker, your teams are horrible, you have a massive weak spot, and low res thermals. The Apache is pretty bad too imo, as it suffers from having to deal with anti air such as the Pantsir-S1. It also lacks any fire and forget capabilities, and having to manually guide its slow hellfires all that way can be time consuminG while also leaving yourself exposed. Try not to get it. (Isn’t it a GE premium tho, didn’t know it was a pack)

Furthermore, the F-5C is a decent CAS option that is often overlooked, it has 4 bull pups. If you know how to use them, that’s 4 kills assuming an anti-air doesn’t shoot you down. It’s also great for air superiority after you get knocked out. (Watch out for Strela-10M2 and 2S6 SPAA systems, they can be quite potent against you)

Also yea, the M1A1 AIM is decent, but struggles form the exact same problems the clickbait does. It lacks a CITV, has a horrible matchmaker, worse round, and worse turret armor if I’m not mistaken. It does have better thermal resolution, but all it really does is give you a free backup M1A1 that doesn’t have any premium benefits.

For a Russian plane to grind the tree, the MiG-23ML is apparently still amazing. However at the moment, currently the ARH spam is making using it quite hard, so avoid grinding around that tier for a bit until something changes. (Unless you wanna eat a bunch of Fox-3s and phoenixes). The MiG-21 is ass, so unless you think you can manage with it, leave it and wait for either the MiG-23ML to be in a better position, or a new and better premium to become available.
