Which is the worst top BR MBT in your opinion?

Someone gets it ;)

Anyone who doesnt vote Ariete is just biased towards their main nation imo.
I dont even play Italy and i pity the players who play any Ariete MBT, it’s just sad.

Also works on Western TTs.
Once I saw a dicussion on Tieba, about is it reasonable for the new Wiki only accept who have played the vehicle to rate it. Though some players think they could know a vehicle with only versus them, most of the players think it’s necessary. For example, you would know Type 10 have 4s/r autoloader or CR2BN have APS that can destroy sabots, but you won’t found Type 10 is really easy to penerate or CR2BN have such bad mobility.
Sadly most players are country mains, cause it’s harder and harder to get the top BR vehicles as more vehicles are added to the TT. This makes less players would know about all vehicles, and new players would care about these top tier vehicles on the community cause they afraid what they get is a trash, even they not really joined a top tier battles yet.

If you think a preset is best should consider CAS, Heli, SAM and more, Russian is still have one of the strongest preset cause Kh-38s, Pantsir, Vikhrs and more.
Also, the you in what you quoted is plural form.

I believe that most people have basically never played vt4a1, vt4a1 has a slow start, I think his maneuver is similar to Merkava, one is fast in reverse, one is fast in forward, but there are many problems with vt4a1, his head can’t bear it, sometimes his APS doesn’t take effect, he doesn’t have a depression angle, and the most terrible thing is his loading, Do you know how painful it is for me to go around to the back of the enemy because the reload takes 7.1s to kill at most one, and even they can slowly swing their heads and turn around to kill VT4, and it is almost impossible to ricochet on the head of VT4, most of them can’t be carried, and there are still ammunition racks inside, when 7.1s are fired, when your ammunition rack is not detonated by the enemy’s counterattack but damaged, you can retreat and even if it is the trump card, you have to repair 20s+7.1s reloading

Is it hard to get to top-tier? I don’t agree. As long as you have a premium account it’s all easy, and you’ll be picking what nation to play next soon enough, if people are willing to give other nations a go. Granted, not everyone has the time available to play often and to grind too much, but I don’t think it’s just these people that haven’t had a chance to grind others. There are some pretty prominent complainers on this forum that have been playing this game a long time, but only play a single nation while crying about others. Whether people want to admit it or not, there are plenty of nationalists in this game thinking they’re representing their nation. Like they’re serving their country by playing War Thunder.

Never said it isn’t. I agree. I’d love to have an SU-34 type CAS available to the Chinese tree. But it’s not as biased towards the USSR/Russian tree as people go on and on about on these forums and Reddit.

Some people may say that the T90M, T72B3 are also 7.1s loading, but their side has covered fossil explosive reactive armor, when they are also penetrated the course angle or side, the fossil + loader can protect the members, when I play VT4A1 in the front by the Cougar cannon through the driver’s hatch, I know that this car has almost no survivability like the Ram tank, or like most MBTs in China, it is basically doomed to death after being hit by the first shot, such a fragile tankUnlike Ram, the Challenger doesn’t have a depression angle, which means it’s basically impossible to hide his fragile hull

how so?
I voted Challenger 2 for reasons
First of all, Italian have choice not to pick that shit and they have 2A7 for them to pick i know ariete suck (experience it firsthand) but now they have a choice to go for 2A7 which better
same go as France undeserve Leopard 2

Brits stuck with Challenger 2 with no other choice
that different

Are you talking about the challenger 5km kill or whatever it was?

If so, the uk has special rings that negate the spin imparted from the rifling of the barrel so it comes out of the barrel just like a smooth bore.

If you’re not talking about that, I’d be curious to learn what you are referring to.

The HESH round impacted the berm the T-55 was using to protect it’s hull the secondary round was an L23A1 FIN round which also missed until finally the 3rd shot another FIN round impacted the T-55 destroying it.

“On 26 February 1991, a Challenger 1 under the command of Captain Tim Purbrick of the 17th/21st Lancers attached to the Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars, destroyed an Iraqi T-55 tank at a range of 3600 metres, followed soon after by a petrol tanker at a range of 4700 metres using L23A1 APFSDS”

I find it funny that everyone portrays a rifled gun being incapable

I corrected it before you responded because I took someone’s word at face value that it was a hesh but never double checked it until you responded to me.

Then I went to go look the story up to be sure. That said, I was not incorrect about the dart. The UK uses slip rings to negate the spin imparted from rifling.

So the rifling is indeed irrelevant to the dart, because even the British try and negate the rifling from their gun on the dart. It is not spinning super fast from rifling as you said.

It tried to emulate a smooth bore fired round, because the twist rate of the barrel ain’t nearly enough to create a spin rate high enough to spin stabilize a dart. At that point, the fins would then create a negative effect on the dart and slow it down.

Because darts aren’t designed to spin, thats what the sabot jacket is for, however for less conventional rounds like HESH it’s better to have the rifling effect for accuracy compared to smoothbore HE/AMP rounds.

Besides I think that the brits should dump their rifled L/30A1s in favour of L/55 (as seen on the CR3)

I have said all of this all of this already. It’s above in a different conversation with someone else.

It was litterly using fin stabilized amunition, waht are u talking about

Of course I am aware they negatively impact a Darts performance but people not you make out a rifled gun is a such a huge handicap when compared with the smoothbore alternatives.

The biggest issue Britain have is they didnt manufacture single piece ammo for the L30 limited the length and velocity of any kinetic penetrator and the increase in maintenenace for a rifled barrel

Damn. I just noticed I must have unlocked and purchased the Black Night in the past, but have zero games in it. This topic isn’t giving me any motivation to take it out for a spin, lol.

I have had my CR1 ready to purchase for the best part of 2 years, absolutely no motivation to touch britain further than the Chieftan mk10 at this point.
A CR2 armour buff would have me finishing the tree in a week or two, but right now, my focus is on japan

Can’t blame you there. That’s a solid tank. I do recommend Britain 10.7, as a good line-up, though. Vickers Mk.7 with Chally Mk.3 + your choice of SPAA (aka Strela), Lynx/G-Lynx, and CAS. I heard the Desert Warrior is a bit of a let down, but I haven’t bothered grinding it out to give my opinion on it, just yet. British 10.7 (was 10.3 line-up when I played it last, got moved up with decompression) is how I ground out Chally 2s.

The AMV Ariete was rushed into the game based on just two photos of the first prototype, driven by user impatience for something new. Waiting a few months to propose the finalized prototype would have been a better approach. The PT3 proposal was eventually made but has yet to be implemented.

Over the years, developers have never balanced the Ariete variants’ armor, relying instead on speculative abstractions about its weight and presumed protection. Since the vehicle’s armor details are classified, no evidence can be provided to challenge their assumptions. This has left players in a paradoxical situation where sensitive data would be needed to correct a design based purely on imagination.

The Ariete could simply be rebalanced with medium-level armor compared to other MBTs. The same applies to the War Kit, which retains its “air” armor despite weighing several tons. While originally designed as a light and fragile vehicle with the most powerful APFSDS in the game, this philosophy is now outdated as the game has evolved significantly.

Key issues remain unaddressed. At the very least, developers could add the finalized prototype with improved add on armor and a 12.7mm machine gun, renaming the current AMV as Prototype 1. Otherwise, the AMV remains little more than a light tank, in stark contrast to additions like the Hungarian Leopard 2A7.

They can add WAR kit without changing it into later prototypes, although it’s useless until they fix its protection, 5.5 t of “heavy air” joke is too old imao.
PS Not really a players fault, there was a photo of PT1 equipped with both WAR and PSO which appeared before the introduction of this tank into the game, they just decided to make it “more unique”.

no. it would not be the best tank.
