Hello, I have completed the german tech tree and i quite enjoyed the top tier. but i’m now looking for which nation grind next.
So how would be a sort of tier list for ground top tier nations?
I was curious about france and japan for the fast reload but are they really good tanks or have just the best reload time?
usa i’m actually at rank 4 but the top tier is good or just mid in everything?
uk and italy i was being told have shit top tier, is it true?
russia too long to grind, sweden too similat to german.
china is a good tech tree? are there some difference for the tanks they take from russia?
France is the best at mid to high tiers then struggles a bit around 9.0 and then top tier is good again. Don’t expect to survive any hits in the leclercs but they are good tanks. As long as you can make it through the first rank. Use the amd35 and lorraine 37l those are the best and forget the other light tanks at reserve.
Can’t speak about UK, but Italy is usually undervalued. It has few issues like a lack of powerful second spawn or helicopters with ATGMs comparable to LMUR or AGM-179. Although it’s far from shit: there are one of the best MBTs (2A7HU) and one of the best SAM systems (SAMP/T), then you have (no armor) support vehicles in a form of Centauro I 120 (which is still pretty good) and Ariete AMV. Idk about CAS though since, apart from helicopters, I’ve played CAS only up to 11.3 iirc.
PS waiting for AW249 with Spike ER2 and Centauro 2. With top tier MBTs it’s a bit worse. We can get Ariete C2, which wouldn’t bring almost anything new, but then only plans exist like KF51 derivatives, the closest useful thing is probably Romanian Abrams, it should arrive irl this year at least.

USA is definitely worth researching. Best overall ground tree and very enjoyable.

you can always go for russia, its pretty strong and you can skip 2 line tree to make your grind far faster and easy

Ground only (I.e no CAS)
Germany and Sweden have some of the best all-rounders.
US tanks have the best firepower but not quite as good survivability.
Japan’s are light tanks/glass canons, powerful offensively but weak defensively
France is suppose to doing fairly well at the moment, but will be honest, I barely ever see them.
Throw in CAS, then nations like the Soviets really jump out as they have some OP kit at the moment. Japan has recently acquired some of that
UK is good up to 10.7, then drops off a cliff, Challenger 2s are okay at 11.7, but have a host of issues and could probably be a little lower in their current state. Dont bother playing the 12.7 ones, they are just 11.7 ones with a few minor upgrades and thats it.
Japan its best for ground and air.
Tank with 4s reload, excelent depression, good mobility and armor.
Plane su30 with kh38 missiles.
Helicopter with 16 JAGMs and LDIRCM.
Armor? In Japanese tanks? Now that’s funny.
I remember shooting merkava’s 120mm sabot to the turret and ufp and not penning.

well, only if you have the skill for abrams, sure m1 is fine, but later version can be quite difficult, I’m a good grb player, but still suck at toptier

Oh nvm i missed the “ground” part.
My take is:
- Sweden. Not much tanks to grind + op tops
- Germany. Same as sweden but more tanks and less OP.
- US. Many tanks but Abrams are cool.
- Japan. Top tier apart of low tier is great but cardboard.
- France. Basically japan but slower reload and a bit more armor
- Britain. They are good tanks but not for everyone
- China. Have USSR MBTs but with mobility
- USSR. Some say they great, i belive they suck
- Israel. Merkavas are unique but broken, so not reliable.
- Italy. They havegreat 7.0-10.0 but their only great top tier is 2a7
Type 10 mobility still broken, Armour is also non existent besides a thin strip at the front of the hull.

I only really play Francwe anymore and I don’t touch top tier even though I still need to spade my leclercs. It’s just not nearly as fun as 5.0 to 8.3 where imo the best the french tree has to offer is.
With the recent addition of the OPLOT and the M1A2T the autoloader changes for the ZTZ and VT4 i believe china is a real sleeper pick, decent- really good MBTs alongside really good light tanks (VT5 and ZBD, although granted they atm are really hard to pull off due to a certain russian autocannon monster), amazing CAS (helis at least) and CAP. The only downsides of China really is the LACK of a good fixed wing CAS platform.
Russia, the tanks are only okay aside from stuff like the BMPT. But their CAS just annihilates the enemy.
