So? And Mirage 2000-5F
All fighters BTW, which they are in-game.
People are just impotent in terms of weapons history. And so we have the Su-39 aircraft, which is a modification of another Su-25T aircraft. And the point of this modification was to make it capable of destroying air targets.
We end up not giving it A2A and we end up with the same airplane. Genius.
Fine, then I guess by that logic they should lose the laser and TV Bombs, logically?
No… that’d be unrealistic. If you want an arcade game, WT isn’t it.
Ok, then realistically the su-39 should get its A2A missiles?
Right now an airplane with radar to launch missiles at airplanes doesn’t have any missiles for it
Su-39 has its air to air missiles.
There will be a tech tree Su-25TM with such missiles later on more than likely.
I’m talking about medium-range missiles, which are guided by Kopye-25.
Su-39 is literally created for their use. Their absence is unrealistic.
Their absence isn’t unrealistic at all, because absence doesn’t mean it can’t use them in WT.
Also 12.3 doesn’t exist yet.
Excuse me what? The R-27R or R-27ER has been in the game for a long time and the Su-39 can wear them IRL. However, these missiles were not received by him
and what does 12.3 have to do with it?
They don’t need to be. Especially since it would ruin match making for ground matches.
Just wait for a future variation.
So now you’re not referring to realism anymore?
And the F-14B, which has the best weapons against planes and tanks, does not break the balance?
And the F-4E on 11.0 having both medium-range missiles and TV bombs does not break the balance?
I note that both of these aircraft fly twice as well as the Su-39, for example.
Air RB & ground RB are separate modes.
F-14B doesn’t have “the best” for ground battles.
It’s one among many, including but not limited to Tornados and Mirage 2000.
It has a thermal imager and a targeting container with perfect angles. This is literally the best there is for A2G.
The only better option is a mirage with a 2nd generation thermal imager.
However, the Su-39 does not even have a thermal imager. And because of the poor speed and maneuverability of the Su-39, it is much worse to dodge anti-aircraft missiles (and also because its aiming system is the worst in the game and you have to look directly at the target in order for the missile to follow the target).
That’s what happens. The F-14 has it all - flying qualities, a thermal imager, a radar, medium-range missiles, short-range missiles (AIM-9L is better than R-60M), smart bombs.
In my opinion, this is called a jack of all trades and does not correspond to the word balance at all.
Had the Su-39 Thermal Imager and the R-27R, it would still be much worse than the F-14.
The angles are worse than Tornado’s angles which are good, and Mirage 2000 5F has the best viewing angles for the T-POD.
Tornado IDS except Germany has the same thermal resolution.
Tornado Germany has the 2nd best with LITENING, and Mirage 2000 5F gets the best with Damocles.
Just be patient, we’re not at BRs for Soviet thermal TPOD supersonics quite yet.
Yes, I agree, all G.91s aren’t considered “strike aircraft” for example, while it’s one of their main roles both irl and in-game.
Imo some jets can get few categories, like “jet fighter/strike aircraft”.
The problem is R-73 at 11.3… problem with MiG-29 was R-73 on an already great jet that didn’t need it. Y’all need to stop being russophiles for 2 seconds and consider the outcome.
Everything at 11.3 has plenty of flares.
We’re not talking about R-73Ms, which won’t be added until Gaijin updates their countermeasure system at minimum.
Having flares doesn’t validate any IR missile
It’s flares + performance of the aircraft + weapons of the aircraft.
