Where is the roadmap for 2025

Last year we had the opportunity to see the roadmap for 2024, this year the developers apparently forgot to announce it? Do we need to demand the service from the developers again?

They don’t want to because then they’d have to make coherent updates and stick to a plan, that’s not possible from them

That is true

The developers announced no roadmap for 2025.
It got replaced with Community Manager Disclosures.

oh … well that sucks, but its still something i guess

I hated it when whole community was laughing at gaijin because they failed to introduce 2-3 points out of 30. Some delays are unavoidable and it better to not make 3 points out of the list than not sharing whats comming to the game

Yep, the problem is the community is really not healthy so whatever they do people won’t be happy. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still taking pretty bad decisions but people would still complain no matter what

When people attack someone for not doing something, that is a behavioral phenomenon that is KNOWN to get them to stop doing that thing.

Doxx staff members? They’re anonymized.
Complain about things not being introduced? Change the way they announce things so they get more positive interactions.

Blindly attacking developers only ever gets them to stop being open.
This is why I encourage all of their announcements, even those that I disagree with.
Because them being OPEN matters, and attacking them personally for not doing something causes the wrong outcome.

If War Thunder, specifically War Thunder community-developer communication was better, things like these could happen but not at this level, we get one Community Manager Disclosure each two to three months with vague informations and no answers to questions made in said thread, meaning the current way they use to communicate is not effective, doesn’t please the community which I think is a waste of resources.

Perhaps if the developers cared to spare a few minutes writing a post, the community could feel more connected thus making the environment healthier, which currently is far from the case because Community Managers can’t make their own decisions, meaning Community Manager Disclosures don’t answer new questions made after.

The issue is when Gaijin tries, our supportive comments are drowned out by the toxicity.
And obviously I’m not speaking about toxic positivity, as supportive comments are those that support the announcements in a civil manner, even when we disagree with decisions.

A developer is only as open as the community lets it be.
Being abused by others over a decision around the game project they have passion for tells the developer to be quiet and keep announcements limited.
Praising the developer for making announcements gives them feedback that you like announcements.
And after that praise you want to diss on a decision made, more power to you; I’ve done this myself with the Singapore news. I praised the act of being open, THEN I voiced my opposition to the decision without insulting the development team, and without being abusive.

I understand your point and at the same time I agree; something that boggles my mind is that in no point in time any developer or high rank staff tried to directly communicate, always behind community managers as shields for the sometimes offensive and most negative comments, when the community managers themselves has to deal with. Which I understand, it’s the main point of a community manager role, being directly connected to the community serving as a bridge between the developer and community. But if the developers themselves don’t address the issues, work to make the community to be healthy instead of waiting a pack o’ Homo habilis with keyboards to evolve to Homo sapiens from a day to another is a quite hard thing to happen.

Myself I’ve expressed my negative concerns with sub-tech tree at this moment, which I’ll and still oppose to the latest additions, backing from BeNeLux with their poor vehicle selection that brought no new to the game and no new to France but existing German and American vehicles in War Thunder, whereas Leclerc can do just like a Leopard, and most of the time latest Mirages and Rafales may be even better from everything BeNeLux has to offer at the moment, same can be said to Swiss sub-tech tree and soon Singapore to China. Considering the backlash from the Singapore announcement, no developer tried to communicate and clear things up, I’m afraid that this trend will persist a bit more, by a bit more reads a few years in the future if no moves, from the developers, and by developers I don’t mean junior interns, I mean the whole team involved in the game as a whole, themselves, is made.

i agree with the sentiment of most people in this thread that there isn’t enough communication but I also see that when gaijin has done stuff in the past there have been cases of them getting doxed so I understand why they don’t interact much with the community but due to the lack of communication they have a tendency to ignore problems and also don’t explain what they are doing and why they make changes which annoys the community so we have this cycle of hate but the only way to fix it is gaijin themselves as the community cant be the ones to initiate communication and interaction.

Hi,

There will be news in the community updates which is in the works currently in regards to future additions to the game. So stay tuned for an official post soon.
