Someone heard through the “grapevine” that a stock was going to rise sharply, and then the stock fell, so he began to insult the regulators and the exchange.
Why? Gaijin never officially said they will add J-10B or J-11B this patch. Don’t forget A-6E SWIP which appear in at least 5 leaks…
Bro you and your bolding. Makes me face palm.
What does F-16A MLU and PzH-2000 have to do with anything?
What are you even saying in general? Please reiterate.
First you say that the J-10B & J-11B won’t fit the current meta because they have AESA radars. (Elaborate?)
Then you say that J-10B’s AESA radar was underwhelming compared to its contemporaries (Does that not contradict your first point?)
Then you say that China’s air tree being uncompetitive is due to the makeup of the PLAAF being “mediocre at everything” (Again, elaborate?)
You pose several fragmented arguments that are hardly connected with each other, all of which hinge on either your own preconceived notion regarding the combat effectiveness of the PLAAF, or the fact that “other people have been waiting longer for other vehicles”, or that “China received the F-16A MLU two years ago” (The F-16A MLU, which still has the wrong number of countermeasures…)
Let’s just wait. I don’t want to fly a plane which is added into our game just in the next release but has a lot of problems. For example, J11B can fire PL12B/C and PL8B A-Amissiles and KH series AGMs with 1493 radar. I want to see them on plane when it joins, instead of seeing J11B with only 1491 radar, PL12A and PL8. So let’s be patient and watch the news.
rather blatant ignorance but i’ll leave you to it :)
Well, Gaijin is just too busy selling new copy paste packs.
Maybe not the J-10B, but the J-11B seemed like a good addition for this update.

MLU is a good fighter

PzH-2k is an addition even non-german mains have been waiting for.
They have very lacking or underpowered AESA radars for their competitive airframes like the Gripen E, Typhoon, and Rafaél.
Their planes are all “higher quality” than their Russian counterparts; yet if you ask the general aviation enthusiasts, they will just write off the PLAAF as a government funded airshow. While I don’t believe the equipment is the greatest for their intended mission, they aren’t bad planes all around.
I simply directed the argument in the direction the other commenters pointed; as I was responding to a few people over slightly different subjects at once.
Thats why they also produced later variants of J10 and J11 models but one thing for sure is J10B does have both PESA and AESA options that will boost its performance, not to mention J10B is lighter than J10A while also having better engine, less drag due to revised design, better air intake,IRST and more advanced missiles.
J10B with AESA should’ve been added with Typhoon and Rafale.
The must be decent enough, Pakistan has been using Chinese aircraft for a while and Egypt who have military ties to both US and Russia and would surely have the option of better aircraft if they wanted, something made them decide on the J-10C and I doubt it was just cost with all the tension in MENA at the moment.
Besides the J-10A is one of the better aircraft on the current patch IMO
Lol, yeah, okay buddy.
Yes, because a high precision ES-05A; literally one of the best, if not, AESA radar systems, on a .9 TWR monster of a jet is comparable to the J-10B/C’s AESA. (Not even starting to mention the fighter to fighter linking systems these jets have had since the 1980’s, something the PLAAF hasn’t even began investing in)
And that’s just the Gripen, the Rafaél F.3C is a whole different beast.
The J-10A project started in 1988, the intro year of the JAS-39A, a “Four and a Half” gen fighter, compared to chinas first domestic 4th gen development starting in the same year.
And let’s not start on the J-11, a jet that was negotiated with the Russian Sukhoi design bureau to give them 200 Su-27’s in 1996, arrive all in 2000. When China already developed a better fighter around 10 years earlier, it made no sense in my eyes, but there must’ve been a reason to it. (Taking an odd guess it’s because the J-10 project took too long, as the first one was finished in 1997, and flown a year later)
Didn’t really want to shit on Chinese fighters, but, you know, had to set the record straight.
And gaijin is adding the first aesa radar to game this update so that argument is out now 🤣
LMAO what are you talking about, how hilariously uninformed.
China has more than done their part to catch up to the west in all fields of aviation, they are advancing at a far more exponential rate than even america is currently, this rate of improvement applies to their Avionics (AESA sets) and AAMs.
Both J-10A and JAS-39A are 4th gens, the gripen doesn’t become a 4.5th gen until JAS-39NG, whereas the J-10B is arguably china’s first 4.5th gen, so in terms of continuity and timeline, china as sweden are on PAR by your standards of ranging by date
Jaktlink is nothing to scoff at, but nothing like the universal standard of Link 16 and now Link 22, now China is well into the development of EW systems, including their own tactical DL and is deploying some sort of system in their J-20/J-16/J-15 and possibly J-10 fleet, and moreso to this point they are already well known for the use of TDL in their naval vessels, to the extent that it’s practically jam resistant and adapts to situation development/escelations (will be able to survive a nuke/EMP essentially)
Not even relevant given that in a 10th of the time that they have been developing aircraft compared to russia, they have already surpassed Russia’s best models in at least the following fields:
ECM and EW tech
AESA/PESA radars
Use of advanced Composites and RAM
Use of long range hypersonic missiles
Use of extremely long range BVRAAM (PL-15/PL-21)
Use of advanced avionics which surpass those on Su-35S sent to china for testing/evaluation
Use of RCS reductions (including RAM coating previously mentioned)
Use of More efficient domestically produced engines
And more intricate avionics/logistics/airframe changes.
If, big if, they truly are “surpassing western technological standards” they don’t have enough aircraft in numbers for that to shine; let alone the sheer amount being phased out of service, and the very few 4 and “5” gen fighters.
I still don’t believe they hold a candle even close to the US in abilities alone.
Never claimed that, just stated that China’s rate of military expansion is larger than anyone else in the world currently, and they plan to keep going, quantity will eventually win over quality
Can you do some research before visiting this topic again, at their current production rate, china is predicted to overtake the US in numbers of 5th gens (Between J-20/J-35) by 2030, as they are producing roughly 75 J-20s yearly and are adding even more with the production of J-20S and J-35A
Yes, that’s true, but their “military expansion” is just military tech, for god sake, they still operate J-7’s and ZTZ-59’s (both early Cold War weapons) that “growth” is simply inflated because they’ve been required to upgrade to remain “a global super power”
I refer back to my last point, please do some research, I can understand that you are an American and may have a conformation bias but that is no reason to spread misinformation
Okay, that’s lovely, a jet that’s relatively cheap, has no proven abilities, and is unknown if it’s truly a threat, while your forgetting that NATO together, in F-35’s alone, would far surpass them.
