I would suspect that the 2A7A1 is coming next update. US and Russia got their top-end APS MBTs this update, would make sense for Germany to be next. Along with 2A7A1 would be the hopium of reworked D-Tech, leading to 600?mm front plate on 2A7A1. 2A8 just doesn’t make much sense.

Depends if they just want to give Germany 1 mbt and not others.
My guess is either filler tanks think 2a6EX 2a7+ or something similar and 2a7a1 or just 2a8 and 2a7a1
APS will be nice, but reload buff would be nicer😭
I dont see much reason to buff their reloads tbh.
In lieu of T-80 buff id say their expert reload times needs to be brought down to 6 seconds as well but thats more like my wish than something thats neccesary.
Lot of unnecesary deaths id avoid if i were in abrams instead.
I think with current top tier balance the T-80 reload buff is not much of an issue, but I would prefer that Gaijin revert T-80 reload buff rather than buff Leo one.
Unfortunately Abrams reload buff a while ago powercrept like 80% of tanks out of relevancy.

Eh, prolly not in grand scheme of things, but id argue that since the buff applied across all T-80s, they really dont have to have reload advantage on top of having one of the better armor schemes at quite few BRs.

I mean, T-80U armor, aside from random volumetric breach moments, is pretty bad for a top tier RU tank.
Then you have BVM with its atrocity of a turret that even HSTV-L can crewkill with 2 shots…
BVM hull is good though.

Sure, that might be, but then you have T-80UD at 10.7 and that one can be tough nut to crack if yoi have to engage it outside of favorable position

Yeah it can be rather annoying to kill in a hull down position, but due to thread being about 2A8 I completely forgot about it. Was thinking of top tier T-80s.

More like me returning to ground after 5 months of ARB and getting my shit clapped left and right. So less of a tank issue and more of me issue i suppose.
Valid, i mentioned it only because the reload buff being apllied across the board, and same would prolly apply to the leo2 reload buff id wish for.
That’s why I said semi realistic I don’t expect them to have a tank with 1000mm of armour frontally but like it shouldn’t be able to be penned frontally by a 30mm or some WW2 tank
Could be trunnion. Somewhat new RNG mechanic they added to most tanks. Leo 2K’s entire trunnion block is immune to DM23 120, and can even tank 1985/Mango.
In my testing (albeit limited), BVM breach is still rather consistent though. Roof is almost always a black breach so this is just the trunnion area.
