When will Indonesia air come to Japan?

maybe most modern f2 version

no, only 4 fox 3 and no hmd and slow. Not top tier quality at all

i found on my research that the most modern have hmd but yeah with the ammount of missiles it will end up 14.3

They tested but no concrete document sources. Gaijin won’t add it. And it was for when f2 super kai was still a project before it got cancelled.

i would still like to see an f2 with aam 4b and aam 5 top tier or not

Yes me too, but 14.3 typhoon and su30sm vs a f2 scares me. Slapping good missiles on a bad airframe will not be a good experience. I think the f15jm with aam4b and aam5 will be better anyways with hmd and better engines.

i think the airframe is great the problem is the engine

yeah sorry that’s what I meant. wish more people dogfighted more at top tier

do you thin the aam4 pulls more than an aim 120 because when i compare it always pulls more but it has less g

in my experience yes the aam4 pulls more, particularly more against aim120c5. Less range but great at short to medium range.

They would be used J-10Bs, which would be a bit worse. But as of now the deal isn’t officially confirmed yet.

There was information that HMD was at some point considered for future F-2 upgrades, but not any proof to actually confirm it was tested and it isn’t on any service F-2s either.

We have the latest F-2 already, the best we could see would be better missiles such as AAM-4B or AAM-5, which also have equivalents from other nations on better airframes. I still hope we can see them eventually (alongside an early F-2 to fill the hole when it moves up), but it wouldn’t really be top tier.

Wait so the J10C is off limits because japan would have everything but the rafale is fine?

…what?

…the F2 is literally the best airframe in the game.

Right now Rafale is fine because it’s actually in Indonesian service, while the J-10B (not C) is only rumored to be bought by Indonesia with no official confirmation right now.

Though if it was confirmed there might be Chinese backlash against it, like with the Thai VT-4, or even worse since the J-10 is actually a PLAAF service aircraft rather than purely a low end export product.

Naaah im good.

pretty much the same mindset as I have, I pretty much disliked all thai vehicles and havent seen 1 bring sth useful to the techtree…

the AAM4 has a more powerful booster with a longer burn time so it accelerates faster off the rail, so while it has less G it is able to achieve it faster than the AIM-120.

I personally would prefer the rafale over the J-10C
But yeah japan needs something cause right now they have no top tier aircraft

F-16AJ: “…ok…”
