When the game doesn't know when to stop with the suck - 7-bot bum rush

This match happened few weeks ago, with the current Naval Arcade boondongle. I wanted to post it before it’s too late, as tomorrow server update will render this replay useless (gg). Tried to link to the server replay, but it’s no longer available (4d93de400003349). Looks like the server replays are available for 2 weeks only. I’m attaching my game replay, if you want to check it out and see how much of a joke Naval Arcade currently is.
I counted as many as 7 bots attacking me at the same time. This is non stop pestering from all over the map. Bots as far as 16+ km away shot their shots at me with mostly surgical precision. Almost entire match was just a pestering BANG BANG BANG multiple times a second and me constantly putting out fires almost the entire game. A lot of bots seem to be shooting ranging shots, but it’s a non- stop barrage of fire that gets very annoying very quickly. It did not matter how much I turned my battleship and how far away I went, all these bots were focused on me until I died from [million] thousand cuts. The game decided that’s it was time for me my ship to die, so it sic all these bots on me. What is even the point of this??? None of the players were shooting at me. I tried to get in the circle and that’s when the trouble started. This game mode reminds me more and more of being Assault. What are you doing, gaijin??? Do you even need players? Let the bots just duke it out with each other. With the current aiming fiasco, where you need to ask permission to get your shells on target, what is even the point of playing this abomination? This question is from a long term Naval player that played this mode since closed beta and was Naval main for the last 6 years or so. What have you done to Naval, gaijin? The last 3 years were barely passable due to the nerfed aiming system that constantly was undershooting and overshooting due to that drunk aiming director (some sekrit RNG aiming value that nerfed your income), but the last 3 months really killed the game for me. It’s a tragedy that this was allowed and then the suck persisted all these months without gaijin doing any damage control and being awfully quiet overall, as if they did not see the dumpster fire.

Look at all these arrows. Different bots joined after I killed previous one. This is already when I turned away to disengage, but bots do not care. They will pester you until you are no more. Btw, what is up with these ALMOST HORIZONTAL shots? There are many games like this when there is no way to avoid them, as they fly at the height of your ship’s hull, so even when you turn, they still will get you.

Look at this distance. I’m still being set on fire every few seconds. Am I playing Fire Extinguishing Simulator???:

Died just seconds before the end of this useless match… by… Anton (btw, where is [Waldo] Anton?):

The funny thing is THIS IS THE SECOND TIME it has happened to me. Same situation with the death circle map, maybe about a month+ ago. Some sekrit switch was turned on and all the bots started shooting at me ALL AT THE SAME TIME… until my ship died. Also had a destroyer pestered and killed by some invisa shells from some small bot boat. Same precision guided shells, but I didn’t even see what was shooting at me. Yeah, the enemy shell visibility really sucks while enemy tags overlap and hide the enemy ships smh.

As far as I see, Naval has lost its personality. It’s now just a synthetic Assault gameplay. Btw, thanks for jacking up Assault game mode the unreasonable amount as well, gaijin. How is this all not a stealth income nerf? Why is this game so convoluted and shady? All of this choked out the fun out of this game mode. I don’t see any reason to continue playing Naval as main. All these fancy new battleships? Just a dead cat bounce, if gaijin continues on this path. Sad to see this.

I have like 2 weeks of premium time left. Will collect (puny) 10 more from the BP. Will do the Naval event, but after that I don’t see a reason to continue this farce. Maybe just play few matches of Air here and there to keep my Squadron status active few times a month. Will see how this game is going in November, but I don’t put my hopes up :(.

I’m attaching the replay that should work until tomorrow morning. Also, check out the battleship not far away from me almost at the end of the match. His primary weapons shells fly high while his secondaries hit the water (time after time) in front of him. What a joke…

TBH I dislike the death circle map game mode out of all the game modes…

In some maps that spawn you next to the enemy spawn like African Cape at least you have a fighting chance, but in this game mode you are just being shot at from all sides and don’t know who to shot back at first till you are almost dead from being ganged up on. Also its funny the bots are good with ships, but with boats they will just drive up to you and bearly put up a fight before being destroyed.

I have had low player games just hunting f

Yea, encountered this serveral times to. Seems like (just like everything else in this game) everything that should have some randomness and or dynamic behind it is very much teh same and very predictable.
I didn´t figured the relative new naval bots out yet. But it looks like, spawning in first and closest seem to make them all target you first.
Also, the AI (especially teh Convoy AI) detectes when you lock them and immidiatly starts fireing on you.
Being aggresive makes you easily target of the AI. And once the AI locks you, they don´t stop until your dead.
They have also no limite to there accuracy. As long as the guns can reach that far, they will hit it with practicly perfect accuracy.

Though i heard the new update is about to nerf the accuracy. Lets spine the snail wheel of random outcomes and see what happens.

It’s punishment for you for leaving the Circle. And killing only 2 bots in 16 mins.

You clearly don’t understand how ballistic works. The closer you are, the harder you to been killed in upped deck, and easier for you to shoot precisely at targets. The further you are, the more shell come from above and cause fires and damage your hull.

Hopefully today’s update toned down the bots, as they are quite overbearing even if you aren’t locking them. Just pushing and having a few decide to constantly shell you makes dueling other players a hellatios task.

Coupled with them not switching targets when they respawn, their artificially raised shell velocity, and impeccable accuracy despite manouvering makes them overly annoying and kills a lot of enthusiasm to actually push for objectives, especially on open maps like the death circles.
