When is Gaijin gonna fix the HE-track Bug

You dont understand what I am saying, I am talking about a bug, not the previous discussion a example of the is-2 tank. -that was a bad examble which you and nano showed me.

“Its an artifact of the game that is based on the real physics and modelling. That it didn’t really happen IRL, because no one was dumb enough to fire HE in direct fire at tanks, is a separate issue.
Just accept and file it away in your brain when you are playing.”

You should humble yourself buddy, seems like you spend more time on the forum than in the actual game. And dont try and put words in my mouth, as if I am making an argument wether historically anyone would shoot another tank with he at the tracks. Where did I state that?. I am a talking about the issue that caused a 9mm pen HEI-T shell to overpressure an IS-7. As i Said that replay is now outdated, so I cant show it.

Is the 37mm of pen effectively the pen value of the fragments that are used to check for overpressure?

I think “real physics” is a bit of a stretch here–not saying the “single fragment penetrates” → “overpressure occurs” isn’t a workable-if-iffy approximation*, but it has little to do with reality.

*Issue is explosions are fundamentally large area phenomena, the effect of which is computationally very expensive to calculate compared to small area penetration.

Though 200g of explosives (about a hand grenade) exploding outside a heavy tank and killing everyone inside through a small hole seems not right.

Take your own advice.
Its been explained to you why you were wrong. Now you are just being a jerk.

Prime example of a forum dweller - only reads a third of what I wrote. I have literally stated several times I was wrong in the example of the IS-2 How could I be more humble, in this context? I used the IS-2, which I belived at the time showed the bug I was talking about - I was wrong in doing that. This topic is not about the IS-2 or any other specifik vehicles, it is about the bug I was trying to explain. Our disagreement comes from a simple misunderstanding. Only reason I came to adress the forum was to try and bring attention to the bug, which i also falsely initially lambled as a “exploit”. This subject I am still happy to discuss, since it would be to everyones benefit to be rid of another bug
