I just rememberd that there is another Version of the t90m which is on one Side the T90M2 and the T90M “Arena-M” and my question. When will we get the T90M2 which has a 30km/h(18.6mph) Reverse Speed. Will we be able to see it this year or next year?
Probably around the same time as L2A8 and M1A2 SEPV3
I don’t know if Russia has it in production yet… and the 30km/h reverse speed is still only on paper (sadly)
Russia has a few things at that BR that are even less provable than that
what is the T-90M2?
is it just copy past or better?
snail will add all of these tanks at one point maybe
Basically what the oplot should have been lol
Well, nowhere in War Thunder does it say that it has to be in production to be added. I mean, just take a look at the Challenger 3 TD. Where TD literally stands for technology demonstrator, aka one-off vehicle.
It’s better by an additional era, and the arena-m that’s about it. As you can see in the image
But to be honest, I think that the T-90M is fine as it is, but I would love to see the Nakitka thermal cover if possible.and the same with Barracuda for the Germans because, in my opinion, I think that would at least help those vehicles against the CAS. As we have information and proof that those systems do reduce the thermal signature of the tank significantly enough for the fire and forget IR weapons to miss. Such as a javelin
I don’t think you know how javelin missiles work…
Thermal blankets only reduce detection ranges, not break a lock.
They also reduce the hit chance probability
They do not…
The only things that can reduce hit chance probability are active cooling, shape distortion, false thermal decoys, and the likes. Where are you getting this info, your own head?
What are you on about you know those blankets are the thermal cooling right?
my opinion russia now from 10.0 - toptier is enought good
This is different from active cooling. These blankets do not stop heat from radiating out. Yes it will help prevent detection from longer ranges, but it cannot break a lock once a missile like the javelin is fired. This is passive protection, not active. Do you not know the Javelin uses not just IR but shape and other factors for targeting?
Just delete this sentence from your post if you can’t provide the “proof”. Let’s not spread misinformation on the forums.
No, hes right. These multispectal camo panels reduce thermal and radar profile of vehicles (and soldiers). You can see this frequently on footage from a certain live conflict. They’re barely visible for thermal vievers.
Yes he’s right in that reduces the thermal signature, but once a lock is confirmed and the missile is fired, it does not break the lock. It reduces detection not lock. Two very distinct situations.
Thermal blankets are non-conductive. Now
are a bit better in thermal signature reduction but again it doesn’t prevent heat from radiating. A lock can still be achieved and it won’t break it. Some panels have RAM which does reduce rcs by a percentage but its really modest and large flat panels will reflect strongly still. These camo panels and air stealth aren’t the same.
Now I’m not going to argue on how much it affects getting a lock as there are no credible sources on that. But my point stands that once a missile like the Javelin is locked and fired, both thermal blankets and camo panels cannot fool the missile in the air.
They gotta build the M2 first i suppose lol
I genuinely don’t know what part of what I said you don’t understand it can break lock
Like do I have to tell you step by step how is it possible to break a lock just use your brain
The aspect of which javalin looks at the target changes during the flight path so tell me how is it not possible to for certain aspects to just basically reduce the thermal signature enough for the thermal imager inside of the warhead to lose it
It’s simply because I don’t want to post a war footage on the forum
