Was curious on when people started playing and how old they are.

I originally played on my Xbox 1S when i was like 13? But i just didn’t play it cos it was too hard on console. I’ve been playing on my Mac since i was like 16 tho

It’s hard to derive ages from this post.

I started in ~2014/2015, then took a massive break.
I picked the age I started at, not my present age.

That’s a 10 year diff.

Seriously though, while the argument can be made that it’s for research it may as well not be a safe call.

I think some people may have misunderstood the question. Or I am wrong and there is a huge amount of Old Guard players in the forums.

Usually, veteran players are more inclined to use the forums regularly compared to newer players. But I might be wrong its just my personal observation in HnG(rip) and WT.

The demographics shown by the poll and the Forum population may not be a fair sampling or reflection of the entire player base.
My guess is a lot more long time players here on the Forum . . .

I don’t really remember when or why I started, but I do remember playing on an old laptop that could barely run the game on minimum, back when it was all planes. I loved watching the first WT trailers and was amazed by the Spitfire, everytime I shot down an enemy I shouted “he’s going down!”, ah, how the times have changed.

And when they added tanks I just loved the “Victory is ours!” video, so I just rushed the soviet TT trying to get the IS-2 to try and become one of those from the video. I only reached the IS-1, though, and at the beginning of every match I shot at the sky as a reference to the video.
