Thought they did, then yeah, that was most likely. But the solution is much the same. Paying attention to the radar ranging would have probably said whether or not the target was within min range or not
If were talking about those lines that are shown on the side of radar when you lock target (or have it highlighted with TWS), F-4S doesnt get those.

This still leaves you unable to return fire and vulnerable to Sidewinders. Worst case for the Phantom, switch off PD or switch to guns.

Man that thing is criminally undertiered. No reason it should be the same BR as the F-4E let alone something like the ASA. Even noting the lack of tracers, high (but honestly not too bad, it seems quite overstated in my experience) energy bleed, and only 48 countermeasures.

I was thinking it was wierd the Phantom FG1/FGR2 had them but the F-4S didnt.
Dont quote me on this, but I think a lot of them were added like December 2023 update. So they’ve been in game for quite a while.
Though they really need to continue adding LSZ / NSZ boxes to more missiles. F3 for example should have them for the Skyflash STs and I wouldnt be surprised if the F-4S is missing them with the Aim-7Fs
I mean, the missiles are trash and the plane runs out of speed pretty hard because the engines are meh and its flight model is ruined by the gunpod. Soo… the FGR.1 can go down tbh.

Yea i know that the 7E2 is in the game, i have used it extensively with my F4E and i liked it a lot
and this whole tread have been about how i either would like to have the 7M or the 7E2 for the F4s
cause they could use them in real life
my research is using them in game and getting to know their pro’s and con’s
