This suggestion proposes adding wheel chocks as a static visual detail placed in front of and behind the main landing gear wheels of aircraft while they are parked in the hangar, the customisation/decoration menu, and the vehicle inspection view.
This is a purely cosmetic addition. It would not alter flight models, taxi behavior, spawn mechanics, or any gameplay in a battle.
Wheel chocks are wedge-shaped blocks placed against an aircraft’s tyres whenever it is parked. They stop the aircraft from rolling while the brakes are off or the engines are running, and they are standard equipment on flight lines and carrier decks worldwide. Ground crews connect them in pairs with a rope or strap so both chocks can be pulled clear in one motion before taxi. The British phrase “chocks away”, used to signal that an aircraft is clear to move, comes directly from this practice.

In the hangar, the customisation menu and the inspection view, an aircraft can have its engines spooled up, including full afterburner, while the airframe remains completely stationary with no visible reason for it to stay put. Adding chocks gives the parked aircraft a visible, historically correct reason to be held in place, exactly as in the Spitfire photograph above, where an aircraft at high power sits still because it is chocked.
The game already places static ground equipment, crew figures and other flight-line props around vehicles in several hangars and presentation screens, so this is consistent with the existing visual language of those environments rather than a new category of asset.
For players who use the customisation menu for screenshots and livery presentation, chocks also add a recognisable flight-line detail to a shot of a parked aircraft.
Where the chocks would appear:
-The hangar, when an aircraft is the selected vehicle and is parked
-The customisation / decoration menu
-The vehicle inspection view
Where they would not appear:
-At any point during a battle or test flight, including on the runway before takeoff
-On aircraft that are moving in any menu animation or cutscene
Asset notes
-A single low-poly chock model, mirrored and duplicated, is enough for the whole aircraft tree
-Placement can be driven by the existing landing gear wheel positions, with the chock scaled to the tyre diameter so the same asset works from a Po-2 to a B-29
-A pair per main wheel (fore and aft) matches standard practice, as shown in image 5; nose or tail wheels can be left unchocked, which is also standard
-Optional, not required for the suggestion to be worthwhile: a wooden chock variant for propeller-era aircraft, as in images 1 to 4, and a rubber or composite variant for jets, plus the rope connecting each pair
To keep this to a single proposal, this suggestion covers only the static visual presence of wheel chocks on aircraft in the menus listed above. It does not propose:
Chocks as a gameplay mechanic in battle
Ground crew animations
Other ground support equipment (boarding ladders, fuel bowsers, accumulator trolleys, intake covers)
Any change to aircraft handling, braking, or spawn behaviour
Those would each be separate suggestions.
Wheel chocks are a small, low-cost, historically universal detail that would make parked aircraft in the hangar, customisation menu and inspection view read correctly, particularly when engines are running at high power while the aircraft sits still. The asset is simple, applies across every nation and era in the game, and carries no gameplay or balance implications.
