What's your opinion on the infantry mode?

is it a hit or miss? or do you guys think it’s trying to hard to be like Call of Duty? discuss.

it’s no where near trying to be like CoD I rather play the WT INF then play CoD BF or any other FPS minus arma cause arma groups. With a bit more tweaking it could be the best mode the game has had.

I haven’t played it, but it seems more like a slightly arcade version of Arma or Squad.

Of course, this is my viewer’s only experience of seeing mostly “Realistic” battles (is there a Simulator difficulty? So basically reduced HUD, no “target/hostile destroyed” messages, etc).

I feel like a game called War Thunder should’ve had almost every aspect of it covered. Infantry, Ground Vehicles, Naval and Air. Better late than never. Besides, if any game were to do it probably the best (or as close to the best as it could get), it’d be War Thunder.

In any case, I particularly enjoy the modern warfare aspect of it all. Will probably hear buzzing sounds of drones as much as I hear RWR sounds when I’m not playing, but that’s alright 🤣

I just wish tanks were a tad bit resistant to drone strikes, though. For example, a drone tap to the engine/rear shouldn’t one tap it. Disable it, sure, like aircraft are disabled after damaged modules but the pilot is still alive. The tanks going into auto ammo detonation without actually hitting anywhere near the ammo rack (in the videos I’ve seen, anyway) just doesn’t seem realistic to me. RPGs too.

One aspect I hope gets introduced into it is the use of mortars and all other forms of artillery. Definitely hoping for the BM-21 Grad rocket artillery (or whatever NATO has that’s equivalent) carnage 😬

I honestly signed up to the Infantry CBT to see if I get some ribbon, like Infantry beta tester. I honestly couldn’t give a stuff about playing the mode. If I wanted to play infantry, I would go play Hell Let Loose or Post Scriptum (Rebranded as Squad44, lol, shows how much I played that game) or Squad or Arma or one of the many games out there already. They really should stick to what they know best - vehicle vs vehicle. I mean, I haven’t even made an Enlisted account for this reason.

I hope we get ww2 so we can get heroes and generals but current day back.

I’ll give Gaijin one thing. Whatever they come up with will be worlds better than whatever trash Activism is cooking with CoD these days. Though, I gave up on that franchise back in 2006 (CoD2 was last one I cared about).

Loved Heroes and Generals back in 2014. Sad it died like it did.

We haven’t seen the part where they monetize the ever loving crap out of it yet.
So i prefer to not comment on it.

Thats bad. Like, really bad.
Dynamic is dead, but the TTK is very small. Respawns are limited so everyone camps. Its like Arma, but worse - very, very slow and uninteresting. Not even mentioning current bad animations and questionable mechanics as thats Alpha test. And not seen P2W stuff like they had in Enlisted.
The small map gamemode is better as of now, but still limited respawn leads to huge dynamic loss. Gaijin wanted battlefield but forgot that dynamic of it comes from unlimited respawns :/

Too earls to say but for now I am hopefully optimistic.

I give Gaijin the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the successful development of this mode since this is their premier way to branch out of the vehicle only gaming sector and make a one of a kind military PvP game. If this works out they could make unheard sums of money since both CoD and BF are what seems to me the lowest point they have ever been at when it comes to player trust.

Personally I dismiss most people who say that this mode is trash. This has so far only been the 2nd CBT and we are still months, if not even years out from the live server release. Criticism is good don’t get me wrong, but if it is purely based on “I don’t want it and therefore I am angry” it’s best to just ignore those comments.

The mode will come to the game and it is up to us to tell Gaijin what we want from it in advance in order for it to turn out great.

from what i have played
1_ assault rifles like M4 has an aggressive recoil in close range almost as aggressive as the Machine guns .

2_ Bots are annoying they can spot you instantly and ruin your plan .

3_ Map is way too small for the number of players like even if 1\6 of the players go to the capture point that’s 10 players from each side and total of 20 from both sides in a building fighting for the capture point it removes the skill from the equation and just becomes out numbering game .

4_ Footsteps are easily Covered up by the sound of gunshots far away you cant adjust it because it is almost fixed in.

5_ if you spawn in and there are spawn campers you instantly get damaged no cooldown to at least get in cover .

6_ Russia should be able to get the “MPK” machinegun instead of the RPK that is present currently an equal for the m249 on US side .

7_ if you look outside from a window the effect of daylight is so intense you cant see anything .

8_ the capture points Bravo capture point specifically is loaded with unnecessary decorative objects that create so many blind spots it could have some cleanup .

9_ it would be nice if you can Drop weapons that aren’t needed anymore some would make you too heavy and would be nice if you can just remove the weight .

10_ make sight and peek adjustable to Toggle button instead of hold to keep .

Battlefield dosnt have unlimited respawn

It does. Each player has unlimited spawns until their team’s points run out. No one restricts each player for 5 spawns.

I mean in a manner it is limited when your spawn camped at the start and rage quite

But no one restricts you from spawning again. Its the point. YOU decide if the match is not worth it anymore and leave, not the dev. ANd that makes it much more pro-active.

No. The tickets are respawn tickets. So from the start, there’s a limited number of respawns. A general pool. It’s just that some players will die 20 times and use up a lot of tickets, while others won’t. But the number of respawns is indeed limited.

“Tickets are a shared resource within a team. The more tickets you have, the more respawns you get. And more respawns mean more soldiers on the battlefield.” From Battlefield site. So there is no unlimited spawn

Its not limited PER PERSON, which is the point WT Infantly has. General pool is also used in WT but you are LIMITED to spend only so much points to amount of techs (soldiers) you brought with yourself. Meaing ones who brought less CAN spend less, meaning they are RESTRICTED from spawning more even if they want to continue fight. In BF its not the case. You are to spend as much tickets as you can until the match ends. So which means its unlimited spawns for a person up until general pool runs out.

Well, ultimately yes, a person can’t respawn more than there are tickets. The limit just isn’t clearly defined, like in WT said.

It’s just that here everyone has the same number of entries, and that prevents guys from wasting 50 tickets by dying stupidly.

So its not unlimited lol
