HQ-11 is one of the hardest AA systems in the game to counter. But as soon as I outplayed it and got close enough to destroy it - this happened. Honestly it looks like a joke. How is this fair considering my aircraft costs 900 spawn points while it costs only 90?
why didnt you just drop one of your bombs on him?
I don’t want to waste bombs on something that should be destroyed by a couple of cannon hits. I dumped half a belt into it; it should’ve been turned into Swiss cheese. Besides, there are plenty of situations where you can’t climb higher to drop bombs, like when these AA units are covered by Pantsirs.
And the CCP players still whine it doesn’t have an OP CIWS system so it’s impossible to counter 😭😭

They were important back when they didn’t have backups, free developer versions, or ammo boxes. Now you can just spam these AA systems endlessly. Given their point cost, you can easily sacrifice one to grab another. You’ll likely run out of bombs faster than they run out of AA.
killing an anti air and a tank give the same rewards and loses the enemy team the same amount of tickets, it also lets you live longer to continue helping your team, regardless of how free it is to spawn spaa its still worth using one of your 4 bombs imo
idk man im not trying to be contrarian but the hq11 is very big to destroy with a 20mm and i feel this was pretty preventable
just like other big trucks, the part you can truly do unrepairable damage is small. you are just shooting its electronics, not ammo, not crew
20mm shell’s pen is not enough to go through devices in most time.
you have killed one crew, next time, tageting the vls or crew cabin, and use ap belt better

Apparently, you didn’t watch the replay closely enough; watch my second pass at 0.25 speed. I’m literally sawing this miserable truck in half. Any other SPAAG would have exploded long ago. There are many large trucks in the game, but the problems are specifically with this one. This isn’t the first case like this.
Maybe I can use aviation if the developer has provided me with such an opportunity. Moreover, I had already used a tank in that battle, earning enough points for a fairly expensive aircraft, unlike that guy in the SPAA

this huge middle cabin is what your 20mm bullet need to go through.
in game this cabin is filled with many layers of devices(and 2 crew), and they have a considerable armor efficiency when put together
