Cool story but I’ve been saying that here, and in game for ages that mode doesn’t matter.
It’s a part of the game that’s been in the entire time…

I know it’s been there, but for the majority of players there is new knowledge.
The rendering and being able to hear the enemy should be the same for all players, thats pretty basic imo
I don’t think that’s correct… It’s people putting thier fingers in thier ears and scoffing at information they can’t handle as being something that causes others to see that, dismiss it also and then be destroyed by it.
Even in the old wiki the only differenciation about the arcade mode is about markers… It’s not to the point of the rendering.

If there were no skill system, then yes… If there were no difference in visibility of vehicles as shown in the statcard, then maybe… But that’s not where this is at, and ignorance is not an excuse.
As I’ve said a few times, I feel very vindicated right now because I was attacked and mocked over passing that info out, and now it comes to be something someone has actually gone to the effort of demonstrating, to prove an issue with it.
And I come to think that issue is a quite possibly a bug.
Sounds have been an issue for several years now. (Not)rendering of enemy vehicles has been an issue since the very beginnig of ground forces…
Either they don’t know how to fix it or they don’t really care anymore. Or it is intentional. Maybe a combination of two or all of above. We don’t know. Just like we don’t know why our RPs still vanish into thin air under certain (and well known) circumstances when researching modules, in spite of this issue being known for a decade…
Sounds overall being an issue is different to this actual issue.
You can pull any issue you want and make a big pile of issues, but it doesn’t mean they are all directly the same just because they are an issue.
I really don’t think this level of situation, is intentional, hence why I say there’s a bug or an actual issue going on.
Let’s hope it’s a bug as my almost maxed out crew level (expert, not ace) did not render a Abrams sniping me from a position i really should see him on the Finland map.
Just heard the sounds keep keep hitting my tank 4 tanks while standing there being disabled.
And most people seeing the wiki just checked the wiki for pros and cons on vehicles i guess.
Think i just checked the other stuff mostly and rhr crew skill think like twice.
So that’s on me for sure.
Kept the vision on a certain level for commander and gunner, while giving the others other focuses.
Gaijin should really say something about it as the mentioned video have been a hot topic the last couple of days
I feel I know it’s a bug because some of the main rules of that formula aren’t specifically being followed in that video demonstrating this.
But this is also a very in-depth video with good examples and editting, much more than what peopel posting on the forums or the issue tracker even try to provide.
Really is looking like an accumulation of bugs, either from that formula being messed with, something being added that has messed with it, or even map design changes making a LoD map that doesn’t render right. There’s so much there that I do hope they figure it out.
Just saying, has anyone noticed the default control issue with mouse and keyboard, where particular keys with the shift key don’t do what they should? SWDB all blocked. So if you’re throttle ‘on’ to WEP, and you try any of those keys it blocks.
By issues I meant enemy vehicle engines making no sound at all. Even if they come right behind you…
I also (want to) believe that it’s just a bug, which Gaijin is unable to fix. The even mention some changes to engine sounds in patches notes from time to time. However, it’s still broken. Just like rendering of enemy vehicles, which I believe has been abandoned completely and it’s going to stay broken forever…
I feel you lump them together to make out you have more bugs in relation to the sense I am trying to put forth…
That is after all why I mentioned what I mentioned. From the bug reports, to the forum posts, and assumption that that ‘whatever’ is what got them killed and somehow it’s always Gaijins fault, and they can’t fix it or that it’s part of the game to milk players and so-on…
I have a bug where the flaps, airbrakes and gear deploy after checking the mapscreen or using the chat in SIM.
Asked the community help a couple of times to no help, just had other responding with the same issue.
So like many cases i don’t trust them fixing bugs so quickly 😅
I have noticed the map being up and keys carrying on through it. Sometimes I end up shooting through the map.
The issue is how it’s reported… Putting it on discord, steam or the forums here isn’t actually reporting it, and your evidence is often lacking.
Snuck up on a Tiger 2 with my Object 268 yesterday, he appears to not have heard me as i shot him from like 30 meters there he just stood and looked from his sniping position.
The 268 ain’t exactly a L3 sized tank with a silent drive.
Or maybe he is the common german main i guess
Probably sweating it out hoping you’re not going to fire before they try fire on what they’ve been trying to aim at.
“It’s only red, I have a chance!”
I only gave the enemy vehicles rendering and missing RPs issues as examples of bugs which have been there for over a decade. For reasons unknown to us, players. Therefore the dead silent enemy vehicles issue may be another one to the party…
I repeat, we do not know why. I mentioned it before and now said it again…
IMHO, it all started as a feature connected to the Keen Vision skill, together with enemy vehicles rendering, but it all collapsed when Gaijin started to fiddle with sounds in general several years ago. Unfortunatley they haven’t been able to fix it ever since…
Yep, this happened to me many times.
A soviet T-34 bumping me from behind without a single squeak or roar? Check…
Me sneaking on an enemy in my lovely german big cat or my cuddly Black Prince? Check…
And wheeled vehicles? Those are most of the time like ghosts to me. No armour, best armour. No tracks, no sounds…
