What's unfair in battle ratings thermal imaging

Plenty of them doesn’t, a few T-80 variants go as high as 11.3 still doesn’t have it.

    So less than 1/3 of the Russian vehicles above 10.0 don’t have thermals,with most of them having it. Other nations have a higher ratio

So no, it’s not “plenty of them”

Thermals are an advantage. But gen 1 thermals provide such tiny advantage that its not even worth talking about. You can barely make out weak points at distance due to the terrible resolution.

Gen 2/3 are good. Only a few vehicles at 8.3 and 8.7 with those and most of them are bad. The bradley is bad. The warrior is bad. Wiesel 1A4 is bad. The new sweedish BMP-2 minus atgm is bad. Wall-E is good, but situational and useless in cities.

Only tanks like the VIDAR are problems. LRF and gen 2 thermals at 8.0 is absurd. 9.0+ with thermals is just par for the course.

OK if you think that’s correct but all the M 60A1 series had a searchlight with both infrared and visible light capabilities “RISE IR/White Light Spotlight”, which allowed the tank to identify and engage targets at night; during night fighting and they don’t work in the game the M 60A2 has one on it the Germans leos had them on to for night fighting to and they need to get them working in the game but on the other hand you have missiles that can fly through trees in the game and there isn’t any main gun deflecting rounds in the game and there should be because if you hit a tank at too much of an angle of a round’s going to deflect off the tank and not kill the tank and on top of that you know you get hit on the left side of the tank and your right track falls off on the right side does that make any sense to you it happens all the time in this game and your hit indicator says you got hit on the right side so you turn to the right guy kills you from the left and radar on AA vehicle can see a helicopter sitting on the ground behind the trees what shouldn’t be able to do and since it does that it should be able to pick up all vehicles on the ground but not in the game and I know this is post is probably going to get closed I can go on all day but I won’t that’s the end of the story

So your reason to absolutely annihilating the game’s balancing, is because of a feature that is not represented in game? IR spotlights are no reason to change the balancing of vehicles with thermals. Plus, most vehicles with IR spotlights are too low in br to even have the ability to play a night battle. They can only become available at 10.0+, so most vehicles won’t even be able to play them. And even then, if your vehicle is at such a disadvantage in night battles, just turn them off. They are optional.

Look bud all I’m saying is World War 2 tanks should play against World War Two games Korean War tanks Korean War tanks should be playing Korean War Vietnam era tanks should be playing Vietnam era tanks and the Gulf War era and the Iraqi freedom era so on and so on you get my drift and here is a little FYI for you I am an Armor specialist and was TC in the US Army and the most heaviest armor is on the front slope of the hall and the turret on any tanks in today’s countries! Except maybe the Russian Tank’s Lol because they don’t care about their Tank crews.

The lower plate can be reliably penned by the lesser ammunition of Chieftain MK10, and sometimes driver port if the lfp is hidden, but I wouldn’t want to shoot there as it is credit card sized.

If that happens, some vehicles can only get down tiers and others can only get up tiers. It would just make the game more annoying to play at certain areas, and make some vehicles completely unfair.

Nothing is fair in War but all I’m saying is that War Thunder needs to get it right and keep the fantasies out of realistic mode

So instead of trying to decompress brs, you want to make some vehicles blatantly overpowered, while at the same time making others near useless? The balancing system isn’t perfect in War Thunder, but making it historically accurate would be terrible. War Thunder gets the vehicles somewhat right, and has always been in between an arcade-y game, and a mil-sim. I would prefer to be more on the arcade-y side if it meant the vehicles in the game can be enjoyed.

I hate to tell you this but the only thing War Thunder gets right is the way the vehicles look in the game that’s it I don’t have the sighting systems right nothing works like you’re supposed to except they go bang they don’t even come close to getting it right the only thing they got right is by the way they look the modeling that is it!! there are planes in this game don’t even fly like real aircraft and they call a mobile artillery piece a tank destroyer come on give me a break that’s so funny.

That is still not a reason to destroy the balancing. If anything, it’s more of a reason to keep it as is. Just because vehicles are not 100% historically accurate does not mean that we should completely unbalance the game.
