What's the point of radar at 3.7?

So i saw the battlepass 3.7 swedish plane , then i see it has a radar.

what’s the point of it at so early br?

Could be a rangefinder or if it’s search, it’s prob an bomber interceptor

in ARB, I guess finding enemies that arent within spotting distance of you without having to use blind hunt order, ie. theres no real use to it outside of niche situations.

for SIM Id imagine it being pretty damn useful.

I mean it doeasnt really have to have a point. Its just something the plane had and there is no downside to keeping it on since no one has rwr at that br. If I remember correctly the mosquitos/hornets get an airspawn so you can use the radar to see where the enemy bombers up to intercept them
