Probably the Mi-4AV, scientifically speaking, it’s the one with the biggest blades, so probably the Mi-8 actually, more displaced air means more noise.

Nothing will be as loud as the Wyvern.

Kamov, double trouble.

generally all helis and planes are way to silent.
You should here them from miles/kilometers away, but you don’t.
Same with tanks btw, if your engine is off

No, that’s not correct, in the past I had the opportunity to see operating Mi-24 in Poland, and when you can hear the helicopter it’s already to later for a tank crew…And in low level flights you see and hear it nearly the same time

yes, it depends on the heli etc of course, but in War Thunder you only hear enemies at roughly 1 km, while irl you can hear a jet, that is much further away

But the topic is about helicopters and not jets

I generalized it.
Also you hear irl an UH 1 D minutes before you can see them, but they are quite load tbf.
Had that once in the FD, where the SAR needed to transport someone

Here are some data from real life:

  • Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma: Takeoff: 95.4 EPNdB; Approach: 95.6 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 91.4 EPNdB
  • MBB Bo 105: Takeoff: 89.1 EPNdB; Approach: 91.7 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 88.4 EPNdB
  • Bell 206L: Takeoff: 85.9 EPNdB; Approach: 90.3 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 85.8 EPNdB
  • Sikorsky S-61: Takeoff: 95.9 EPNdB; Approach: 94.0 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 92.6 EPNdB
  • Sikorsky S-65: Takeoff: 95.7 EPNdB; Approach: 99.9 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 97.1 EPNdB
  • Bell 212: Takeoff: 91.7 EPNdB; Approach: 95.7 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 94.6 EPNdB
  • Aérospatiale Gazelle (SA 341G): Takeoff: 92.5 EPNdB; Approach: 89.5 EPNdB; Level Flyover: 86.1 EPNdB

Between the S-65 and Gazelle for example are 10db difference

Because of the 2 blade rotor the UH1 is loud and made also this typical noise

I know

Probably the Hind, I can hear them coming from a mile off.

I know, they should have allowed you to hear the Hueys from atleast 2.50 kms like the loud planes

This is an example of how far away you can hear a huey

Watch this one on YouTube

I found the loudest heli in warthunder, it’s the Wessex Hu MK.5
