UPDATE NAME: deadly waves? idk

Electronic warfare and SEAD update
This update is not for right now but I think when the game is ready it’ll be a great update

Addition of dedicated electronic warfare and SEAD aircraft such as:

  • EF-105F Wild Weasel III
  • EA-6B Prowler
  • EF-4C Phantom Wild Weasel IV
  • EF-111 Raven
  • EA-18G Growler

Note that those are only American, because others countries prefered using non-dedicated aircraft or larger aircraft for electronic warfare missions.

Addition of anti-radiation weaponry such as:

  • AGM-45 Shrike (USA)
  • AMG-88 HARM (USA)
  • Kh-31P (USSR)
  • Kh-58 (USSR)
  • ALARM (UK)
  • YJ-91 (PRC)

Addition of electronic warfare features on already or to be implemented aircraft, such as:

  • Late F-16s (USA)
  • Superhornets (USA)
  • F-15E and later variants (USA)
  • Late flankers (Su-34, Su-35…) (USSR)
  • Late fulcrums (mig-35…) (USSR)
  • Typhoon (UK, GER, IT)
  • Rafale (FR)
  • Gripen (SE)
  • J-10 (PRC)
  • J-11 (PRC)
  • JH-7 (PRC)

How electronic warfare will work, I’m not sure for now, probably jamming of enemy radar to blind them and jamming of radar-guided missiles to stop their seeking

Start a new Game from the ground up call it War Thunder 2.0 and balance the game first guve a new updated engine then copy the players profiles and data over

The same people doing the same game all over again is gonna give us the same game with the same issues. If not they would already be fixing the game much more than they are.
Most things can very much be fixed on spot without restarting from scratch, they just don’t want to…

A complete new Helicopter PvE rework
No Convoys or battles spawning within 2.85km of the nearest player and increased RP earning. Add information on how to tell players how to even out the playing field especially for someone with Stock helicopters, low/mid tier helicopters, or both. Add a system that will warn players if they are getting to greedy by denying them the ability to kill ai targets (with the exception of Air targets)

An RP rework → the current RP would split into two different earnable RP
Vehicle RP (VRP) for only vehicles and Modifications RP (MRP) and should have the option to Prioritize VRP, Prioritize MRP, Balance RP earnings, and Only VRP or MRP. Though I think this won’t be necessary and probably just optional.

Reworking the tow rope.
When a vehicle gets flipped over or sideways, the tank is nearly impossible to flip over due to the turret getting stuck in the ground, and the same for the track. We should get the option to just get out of the tank and flip it over ourselves; does it make sense? No. Should it? No. Is it possible? Surprisingly yes. Albeit it depends on the circumstance.

The obvious ones for me would be a BR decompression update and better maps for the gamemodes and stuff like that.

But one update that I would absolutely love to see is an update trying to revitalize Simulator battles, like it would be amazing if they did an update focusing on some realistic features for RB and overhauling SB to feel more simulator like. Since the gamemode gets ignored all the time and feels like it is trying to be killed at this point. So probably something they won’t do, but it would be cool though if they just overhauled simulator battles and tried to make it at least semi-popular again, by adding more big realistic maps, realistic game mechanics, maybe even more realistic turret controls and stuff (since tank SB is still point-and-click compared to air that gets full controls), maybe make a combined-arms Enduring Confrontation, full FCS mechanics and autoloader mechanics, (even if not perfect for the thousands of vehicles in game) but a cupola view and maybe a mechanic where if you get the over-hatch view, your commander sticks out and becomes exposed to LMG fire (like the M18 by default and stuff), etc. Mainly bringing up tanks because tank SB is not remotely comparable to the standard of air SB imo, but mechanics for all could be added.
They could add some of this stuff to RB as well obviously, like the FCS mechanics and autoloader mechanics would be fun in all gamemodes, and not leave everyone out by having these mechanics that apply to AB and RB too, but a full-on SB-oriented update would be so cool. And the vehicles for this update could be oriented around these kinds of mechanics that would become relevant, like more tank variants where the main things that changed were the FCS systems and stuff.

Extremely, extremely unlikely but one can dream.

(also following format)

UPDATE NAME: (I don’t really know or care, content matters more to me. Insert cool name here.)

Changes:

  1. Make map rotation more gamemode dependent (AB gets the small symmetric maps, RB gets bigger maps of all ranges and sizes, SB gets the largest maps and more focus on realistic styles than symmetry)

  2. Combined Arms Simulator Enduring Confrontation, with more missions and stuff

  3. Better ‘bail-out’ mechanics for ground vehicles like how aircraft get ejection seats, rather than the vehicle just exploding. Bailing out of a doomed tank, ejecting out of damaged aircraft, or abandoning ship provides a small discount to the repair cost of the vehicle since you ‘saved your crew’.

  4. Simulator gets more realistic turret controls, where the turret slews instead of being mouse-aim point-and-click.

  5. Full FCS systems for high tier tanks, not just range adjustment from laser range finder but full-blown target tracking and mechanics based on higher-tier tank systems, and in SB instead of getting a rangefinding button (excluding laser rangefinder), you get a optical rangefinder on tanks that had optical rangefinders historically.

  6. Commander sticks out of hatch mechanic in SB, when not you get a modeled cupola view that severely limits visibility, and commander optics for all vehicles at all tiers (even if it just is something simple based on reality).

  7. Full high-tier command and control mechanics with geolocations and better enemy callout mechanics and other stuff modern tech is capable of. Including more advanced missile mechanics for aircraft and all the man-in-the-loop stuff in general that the militaries get in the digital age.

  8. Other realistic systems not in game for vehicles, such better autoloader mechanics (the gun elevation adjusts when reloading), maybe human reloading has variables that affect the time to reload like if the gunner gets hurt and stuff, the smoke and terrain deformation stuff sounds cool in original post suggestion, maybe more mud and boggy terrain mechanics exclusive for SB making some areas of the map not-viable for heavier vehicles, some realistic flaws and stuff like some turret drives are stronger than others and change turret traverse on inclines, rare chances of dud-stuff like dud missiles and dud APHE shells (very rare though, SB only), etc.

  9. More historical events under the event tab would be cool.

Additions:

  1. One or few very large maps, maybe for SB EC.

  2. More historical vehicles, even just copy-paste vehicles they could add but they’re modernized stuff that get FCS changes (stuff that would be affected by above mechanics). Focus on used vehicles and not prototypes.

  3. More historical missile and ammunition loadouts for tanks and aircraft, giving vehicles that historically had different ammunition types their stuff would have had that are missing in game.

  4. Cupola views and driver views for all vehicles, even if simplified and only semi-historical for the thousands of vehicles in game.

  5. More ground targets scattered around the map, in all air gamemodes, to make the battles feel ‘more alive’ and more things to strafe (perhaps the units are worth less though to attack than ‘objective’ AI units).
