I could come up with a 100 things that need improving in this game, wouldn’t need 12 months either.
I honestly would: increase the max br to 15.0 in all game modes, make maps that people actually want(less redzone CQC bullshit), and try to rerun events and their vehicles so newer players get a chance at em. Other than that I would try to make progression much easier, and spend a large amount of time trying to fix the hundreds of bugs reported. And maybe fix traction, apply volumetric to ALL guns, rather than just 57+mm, and create a few maps that actually empower amphibious vehicles rather than piss on them, and idk anything about naval, but try to revive it 🤷
Deleat 2 cap gamemode and femboys for everyone
Yes, it’s a real no brainer. No thought is ever put into it cause it’s little more than a sad cope.
unreal slop has been a disaster to the game industry
30 sec is a long time…maybe 10 sec. Thats enough to stop, and reverse or turn around once you get the warning.

BR Spread & Balance: American WW2 vehicles seem to have very high BR’s in view of their capability, or rather incapability against every other nation.
German Panther and Tiger tanks are also seem to have artificially low BR’s, I spent several weeks with a high death/kill ratio because of the panthers, and when i could ambush the Tigers, i had multiple instances with M4’s and the T1E1 where I actually could not penetrate the armor anywhere.
Quality of Life: Adding the ability to activate a booster while in a match, allowing for less waste when using boosters.

Actually replying to this instead of pointing at something specific, there’s some things i’d like to make if I were the lead game developer for 12 months:

General module backout testing/drastic reduction to repair times: Everyone who’s played top tier knows how sometimes the game turns into a repair simulator, which often ends up in getting killed anyway after a minute of getting your FCS, electronic system, radiator, engine, transmission, elevation and horizontal drives fixed altogether. Cutting back FCS, electronic systems OR reducing the general repair time of each module would greatly help such cause.

Aerial battles reform: Self explainatory. I’d look out to calibrate current ARBs submodes or mechanics where an attack aircraft gets a fraction more RP and SL by… you guessed it, attacking ground targets and bases. And so a multirole fighter on both player and AI air targets.
I’d also look out for improvements for AAB and ASB (especially the latter), but they would benefit more from the last point. -
More maps, and remove the most disliked maps by the community for the first time in the game’s history: I’d take every most disliked map from each category and remove it from the map pool (not after releasing new maps that would replace them of course), I’d take a sensible approach to sim battles, since they’ve been without many new maps for quite some time now.
Well, those three points would last for a year to apply if done thoroughly. But I think those are enough to become an easy W and keep the game reasonably fine without compromising monetization or the current dripfeed.
Gajin should stop being afraid of removing stuff in general.

Return Historical EC with fixed aircraft match ups with increased rewards.
Return historical special operations battles with their own objectives. The Battle of Britain event was brilliant with Ze Germans having to destroy the bombers on the ground and bases whilst the RAF had to defend. Or the Bulge event where one side flew P-51’s and had to defend the B-17’s against players flying the Me-262. The pacific events were great fun as well. Why on earth did you take these away Gaijin?!
Vastly improve aircraft sound, make those engines loud again! I’m flying a 1000hp+ warbird not a sewing machine! The current engine notes are pathetically weak especially the Dora/Tempest/P-38. If it came to it just give us the Birds Of Steel engine note back.
In SB I’d make our pilots human again as well. No more pulling 9G+ whilst barely blacking out. It’s due to this that some aircraft aren’t as powerful as they should be as the opposition can snap into a 9G turn and be on your tail in an instant. I’d also make you actually black out (no vision/muffled sound) instead of the crappy effect we have in game. Apparently we’re blacked out but we can still see everything perfectly.
I’d also fix the aircraft damage models so they no longer fall apart like paper. The current DM’s are terrible… my Hurricane can rip tails clean off like it was packing 30mm’s as can two Breda’s. It’s a joke.
The Shvak’s would get a massive realistic nerf as well.
Certain flight models would be addressed as well. 109’s Would have realistic elevator stiffening along with negative slat behaviour on early models. Zero’s would also get the elevator treatment (although early models may be missing some speed which they would be given). Every aircraft would be able to stall and spin.
As for tanks no more HEAT slingers in WW2 tiers and return Historical Battles again with limited slots for rare heavy tanks. I’d increase rewards for the less powerful but more common tanks to compensate.
Realistically nerf the absolute crap out of APHE. Realistically buff AP to stop that round magically disappearing after it kills one crew member.
Remove the map size restrictions forced on us with most maps so tanks can actually flank again. Introduce Ground EC which I’m stunned Gaijin haven’t done yet.
