Imagine this: USS Lexington is on her way to Port Moresby. She’s being escorted by 5 destroyers and there’s some other smaller ships all around the group. 10 F9Fs provide Carrier Air Patrol. On standby is USS Enterprise, with some other 20 F9Fs ready to take off.
We are armed with two formations of 20 A-4C Skyhawks each and up to 7 F3Hs for each formation. They have the support of 10 Brander fire boats and coastal artillery.
