What would be the best 4.5 gen in the future?

But yeah as it seems T4 has none of the major upgrades realized (if that singluar pic is true)

Well we will see, the DIP is taking as long as it is due to the rapidly changing security environment we’ve found ourselves in. Numerous new types of warfare, disrupted global supply chains. Imagine trying to come up with a long term plan in the current time haha. Every other day something new and insane is going on.

I think the first step and priority at the moment is AESA deployment, everything else is relatively simple in comparison. Also upgrades like the new cockpit might be waiting on Striker II to be deployed. I dont think it has been yet

Well afaik the first T4 for germany has rolled out with Aesa so kinda suprising that not even amk was on it

There is alot in the pipeline over the next 15 years;

Have you seen anything further about the expanded CM count for the EFT?

Praetorian eVo is now part of “NextGen DASS” which includes the new dispensers and is part of the 2030+ improvements;

Kinda weird that there are things on there that are already realized like PIRATE or am i being dumb

F-15EX and J-16

PIRATE has had some updates, I have no detail on what why or anything beyond its documentation was updated in 2025 to reflect some changes. So given the rest of the context of that section I’d imagine its referring to that.

Gripen E, we already have it. Not its full capabilities and potential though.

Literally has 5th gen tech in a already great 4.5 Gen airframe (with some minor structural tweaks)

Hmm okay nice, i hope that when we see the T4’s from germany that are being rolled out to see AMK and some sensor upgrades hopefully. And from what i see germany will be the testing pig for sead/EW integration

Wouldnt put too much hope in the J-16 tbh

PL-17 and PL-10 should be pretty good plus the good avoinics and airframe.

Oooh nice

You say that but all the stats are guesstimates and up to gajin (we saw how that panned out for the 15T)

What is “data sharing - any sensor, any shooter” under 2035 timeline supposed to mean?

F-15EX would still be stuck with AMRAAM (The main problem that i think US jets have excluding the radar) and 9X. both of them would be worse then most of the other missile (unless gaijin decided to butcher them as well).

The F3R package for the AMRAAM should keep it relatively relevant and with possibility for 16-22 missiles it’ll be more than okay especially with the better FM and avionics. Aim-9X will be the weaker part of the kit for sure but still servicable.

16 would be the max if gaijin is generous but 12 is 100% confirmed, 22 is completely theoretical. Also gaijin will probably make newer AMRAAM worse then their predecessor just like they did with 120D even though it must be very good and relevant IRL
