I’m planing on getting the Somua SM and want a plane to bring with it. I’m thinking between the F4U-7, F-84G, and the AD-4. Which one would you guys recommend and if another planes I should look into.

Probably the F-84G. By 7.7 you’ll be facing Radar SPAA and jets quite often, and the props are too slow to deal with them most of the time.
True but I heard that F4U7 with SNEBs is nice and I would only see Radar spaa in a up tier
Corsair is deadly if you know how to use it, but some 8.3 AA can take you out at 3-4km if your not evasive/easy target, same with ad-4. (PGZ comes to mind but thats going 8.7 soon I know I’ve taken out stuff at 5km because they were flying straight/level)
So while we were at these tiers on SQB’s i remember using the barogan because could actually hug the deck and do pop up bursts, etc.
I’d actually suggest the MD450 barogan if your willing to grind into it, least that was a my main cas vehicle back when i played ground rb france alot, it is a fair bit more manueverable than F84 just not as much load, though honestly the HVAR rocket spam is really weak.
Accurate snebs that don’t take down your performance or just 2 1000lb bombs barogan brings is plenty, and has better guns, 4x 20mm vs the 50 cals on f84

The guy above me is correct, M.D.450B Barougan is a good CAS plane for 7.7, the built-in SNEB pod is legendary. F-84G is also great, and is preferable over the Barougan when the threat of enemy SPAAs is small.
You shouldn’t use F4U-7 or AD-4; both are obsolete at 7.7. Radar SPAAs are common, not just in a uptier. There are multiple radar SPAAGs at or even below 7.7, and they will easily blow prop planes out of the sky. Not to mention you may not greatly enjoy flying the 15 kilometres from the spawn to battlefield in a slow prop plane.
F84G with the orangutang or bakugan for CAP if you’re into that
Not saying it was the best option but I really enjoyed the French AD4 at 7.7 - Currently pushing 10.7 / 12.0 FR and probably only would crew CAS again at 11.7 / 12.0 for my FR line-up
Use the F-84
f-84F is very boring. when you grind italy or china you must use it, so i prefer the ouragan. ok only 1 drop, but one of the best 7.7 flight performance, good against plane and a gun is perfect for killing germans and rats.
.50 cals are poor to kill early coldwar lights
i dont played the barougan but i thinks is a same plane like the ouragan
f7U. I’ve tried them all, the F84 gets your bombs there quicker, but if you actually want to help the team you need to be able to kill more than a single target. None of the attacker options are good at fighting other planes. Few nations have 7.7s so you are fighting 8.0+ every game, and 8.0s and 8.3s have a lot better plane options.
