Idk if the compressed BR’s realistically could balance them properly
I’m guessing the myth of ERA was a result of this subreddit post, which appears front and foremost for an image search of “strv 101r”.
What exactly is this vehicle though? I feel like I recall reading that this was a Strv 102R prototype mounting a different coverage of ERA than that of the Strv 104, but some clarification would be nice.

I suppose i should apologize then since its my post from 2 years ago lol, this vehicle is in the section talking about the Strv 101/2R from where i got it so i assumed it was an Strv 102R. The source also said that both the 101R and 102R got ERA but i couldnt find a picture of a 101R with it equipped so i used the 102R image as i figured less people would be interested if it was just a pic of a seemingly regular centurion.

It’s a picture of some sort of prototype without any further context provided by a guy who worked at the swedish defence materiel administration. It’s a basic strv 102 and not a 102R, note the original sight, that has for some reason been fitted with strv 101 skirts and is most likely being used to test the ERA layout planned for the strv 104

Yeah that has always weirded me out because there is no other source or picture indicating that to be the case, at least afaik. So not sure why that’s in there but there are occationally other issues that pop up on ointres with things not being 100% accurate

Well everyone has a slip-up every now and then, can’t blame the guy too hard.
Can’t blame you in the slightest, I’m sure you couldn’t have guessed that the post would’ve been responsible for any confusion in the future, for all intents and purposes it was perfectly fine in portraying the point you wanted to make.
Besides, r/warthunder posts are more like a pitch than a real suggestion anyways, so choice of imagery is of greater importance to attract attention there than a similar post on the forums without said imagery.
Anyhow, I’m sure a lot of less-educated people are now led to believe (by a certain collection of YouTube CCs moreso than your post haha), that the datamined 101R would in fact have ERA, even though it’s likely Gaijin would add it without any regardless of what sources may say otherwise.
Sounds about right to what I recall, do you think it could be added without an LRF and/or APFSDS as a separate vehicle?
It’s pretty much just a basic 102 with ERA, so nor LRF and no night vision. Issue is there’s no publicly available data on it atm. I’m not entirely sure exactly when slpprj m/80 was introduced and there’s no info on when this vehicle was fitted with ERA, although likely late 70s or early 80s. Would be cool to see in-game but it should ideally only be added if more info is made available

These low tier Bofors wagons are really good against ground vehicles, but I’m very bad at killing planes with them. Makes me wonder how people on average do with them? Lvkv 42 is a bit better, but with way too little ammo. Are there any Swedish vehicles which could fit here? I already suggested pair of Finnish trucks.
Aside from Finnish vehicles there’s the lvkv fm/43 which unlike most swedish SPAAs actually entered service. Twin 40 mm L/60s and two variants with different engines, so basically a Swedish M19/M42. More ammo and if implemented properly it should have the same rof as the lvkv 42 but we know Gaijin hasn’t figured out how to un-sync the barrels

Does anyone know what this is? Its titled “Test with Ikv 91” on Digital museum but It’s clearly not.
Other pictures in it the same event feature an Ikv 91 but i cant tell what this is.

Doesnt it look like one of the later leo 1’s? It has the different turret design and the manlet cover. Pretty cool but id rather it not be added imo. Now strv 103 with Nera yes pls. Or my strv S2 thank you.

Taking a closer look, it doesn’t have the Rubber tracks and lacks the MG on-top, also the mudflaps but those could have just been removed temporarily

How much more ammo? 300 would be definitely too little with two somewhat fast firing guns. Even 400 might not last for long.
At any rate I think it would be great to have at least the milk truck with 20s. Now what Americans got pair of fast firing things, all other countries are quite well in SPAA department from 1.0 to about 7.0, except Israel, Japan and Sweden.
