Не стоит так говорить, и перестаньте возводить все в абсолют. Или вы реально хотели что бы super hornet был ультимативной машиной? Против кого? Su-30sm2? Или Еврафайтеров с Рафалями? Моё виденье на счёт super hornet таково - с учётом его текущего боевого рейтинга в купе с его летными характеристиками, у него нет возможности задать благоприятные условия пуска для aim-120c5, с этим хорошо справляются f-15 которые способны разогнаться до 2 махов. Следовательно если рассматривать super hornet как участника в дальнем воздушном бою, aim 120d станет хорошим дополнением, я не уверен, но думаю это даст ему возможность быть конкурентоспособным. И да, не забывайте, ракета - r27er все ещё сильнее любой fox3 в рамках дальнего воздушного боя.

I thought the D used an AESA seeker as well? Also is Russian allowed on these forums I thought it was ENG?

Aim120D is far from needed. What’s needed is better aim120 modeling. Their model sucks to high drag, too low impulse. No reduced notch window like that of the mica. If they even picked one of these to fix the current aim120’s we probably wouldn’t have to get 120D’s

If aim120d comes with most aim120 issues fixed then its going to be whats needed, if it retains all of the nonsense then its just useless

Dev server open. AIM-120D is the worst AMRAAM yet. Horrible turning capability, no GNSS improvement, and battery life makes no difference before the missile just runs out of energy.

i wouldnt consider the EFT dominant in WVR unless your talking about dogfights with guns only it uses 9M missiles which are basically useless close up

it does dominate in BVR Tho

Also that argument is moot as the eurofighter can mount the IRIS-T and ASRAAM both of which arguably are better than the 9X

ASRAAM won’t be better than 9x in close combat, especially in dogfight since 9X has TVC (which ASRAAM does not) and hence can do HOBS. Beside close range, ASRAAM would definitely be better than 9X. Cannot say a lot about IRIS-T

Personally i dont know a whole lot about the ASRAAM there are other users who know it by heart I just hear alot that its generally gonna be a better missile than the 9X for WT use

IRIS-T on the other hand i know is pretty much just gonna be better than the 9X in every metric except the seeker with the 9X pulling ahead there although for WT i doubt gaijin is gonna model a difference between the two seekers

Put the AIM-9X Blk I on the F-16C Blk 52. Maybe limit it to 2 or 4 and that’s it, cause the AMRAAM is bs
