If i dont enjoy farming ai, why should i do it then? If it was fun i wouldnt mind doing it but right now the ai either does nothing or fucks you in one hit in rare cases. The kind of RP/SL i would get from those ai are similar to the ones i get for 2 kills, maybe an assist on top which is not even hard in most planes. The difference is that fighting others is for me and many others more enjoyable than shooting the ground without any risk at all.
Lets change the situation: You have a ticket advantage, 15 mins on the timer and a numerical advantage. Does the basecamper still deserve the win? Does he have the right to prolong the match for everyone else just so he doesnt die despite being able to J out on the runway without any risk? Its a problem with the gamemode and the easiest solution is to nerf airfield AA so passive behaviour is not rewarded anymore. The better solution is to change the gamemode entirely but that wont happen in the near future.
btw you still have not talked about how the guy keeping tabs gets ccked completely in terms of rewards/time
I have no clue what you are talking about…
Everyone knows exactly how long a battle is: 25min! That’s the deal.
If it’s finished earlier, ok, but you know every time you join, it could last 25min.
So what’s your problem?
This isn’t a tiktok game!

Sure it can take that long but if its over after 15 then its over and the last one should not artificially extend it
Every now and then if the aircraft in question is particularly dangerous. Otherwise, I’ll either be the one to keep an eye on him outside of the detection range or let someone else do that as I hit AI targets.
So try to kill the last player, die to af aa, and the battle is over for you. It’s your choice.

nah I just do it bc it doesnt bring me any sl for letting him live 5minutes longer, in the long run it would even cost me time and potential fun minutes in a game…
Or its lost and i loose a good chunk of the reward
Doesn’t matter whether you like it or not. That is wholly irrelevant to the match outcome; The only thing that affects outcome is player actions. If your team does PTFO properly, you will win. If your team does not, you will lose. It’s that simple. Is killing the other team part of PTFO? Absolutely. However, it is not the only OBJ to win the game - It is one of a few options. Your feelings are entirely irrelevant to what is required for the desired outcome. You want to win, then you MUST PTFO. Anything less means you lose. That’s all there is to it.
Your question doesn’t make any sense by the way, as it indicates my team has the full advantage on everything and needs to do little else to win the match but to finish off the AI whilst the losing team’s final player just hangs out at his AF. Try editing it, first. Or ask it a different way.

yep good uck enjoying you overdone matches in your subsonic fighters while you want some 3rd or 4th gen fighter… and saying that playing the missions is the way of winning is the real way, then you didnt aknowledge the fact that noone plays them bc they are pretty poorly designed… and your rewards do suffer if you play like this
If i want to win i play my fighter as an attacker… you dont get it. Not all planes are capable of effectively bleeding tickets with ground targets. I can win the match by killing the last one, or i fly circles for 10 minutes/trust some random dude to not suicide into the af. Yes there are other ways to win but easiest, most common and probably according to most people the most fun way is to kill the enemy team. If i get the same reward in another match in a shorter time then i effectively loose rewards with farming ai and if im the chosen one to do NOTHING AT ALL then im even more fucked. Being that guy is a net loss in terms of rewards so noone does it. I dont get how you justify passive behaviour, taking rewards from everyone and keeping a match from ending just so you can fly circles yourself and then blame the team who deserves the win.
Welcome to the War Thunder grind, where you have to sift through vehicles you hate to get to vehicles you like unless you shell out $70-$80 USD for a premium just to speed up the grind.
News flash for you, bucko - Grass is not greener at top tier. If anything, the experience is far worse.
Also, I have never, EVER said the map design was good. I am the one that says that map design for EVERYTHING is total trash. All of the maps for all of the modes need to be removed and redone entirely.
Also, yes, AI kill rewards are bad and need improving. That’s an obvious. The one notation you’re missing is that they get better if your team wins, making the effort to win worth it. I don’t have sympathy for whiners who make no efforts to win their matches and then earn the loss they deserve.

they never have heard about opportunity costs…
Fella. Gaijin literally changed the pillboxes to light pillboxes because the Fighter Jocks kept moaning about it. They too can PTFO. They simply choose NOT TO and then continue to moan like impudent children rather than fixing their skill issues.
Light Pillboxes can be destroyed by 7.62 and 7.7 - Your argument is completely meritless.
Being that guy to hit AI isn’t a net loss - Your attitude is the net loss.
Git Gud or just keep losing matches you could otherwise win by PTFO’ing. That’s all I have to say. I’m not arguing any further in circles with you.

No effort for winning as if clicking at ai takes remotely as much as fighting real people lmao. But i do agree with the rest of the comment, + Air RB as a gamemode is outdated.
good points, but your beloved premiums and accounts do have the same issue with the opportunity costs and stuff, problem doesnt get solved if we multiplay the problem…
We’re all just clicking or pressing buttons in the game, be it on AI or active enemies or sitting targets or unaware script bots. The only exception is the people flying sim controls with HOTAS.
Non-point.
if you only have 7.7s, and it takes like 800 bullets for one pillbox, then how am i supposed to offset a ticket disadvantage? I could carry by killing the last one but no, cant have that because hiding behind ai is the new way of being “skilled”
You’re preaching to the choir. You gotta take those arguments up with Gaijin. The playerbase at large still hates the grind.
ah, and you only click at the enemy fighter? how did you get in a position to click him out of the sky? how did you figure out the lead? Meanwhile for ground targets you look, click and kill
The fact you’re being flagrantly hyperbolic doesn’t help your meritless argument. Enjoy your skill issue. Good luck, dude.
