Mostly yellow parts and pilot counts for me, as i only need to last long enough for the tickets to bleed. Used to be easier back then but it is definietly still possible if you take the shortest exposed path at high speed with some slight manouvers.
No had it happen way to often that someone camped the airfield for over 10 mins and didn’t want to leave the airfield. He just flew around it.

Can’t say I have the same issue. It’s easy to fly by and mow anyone on the airfield.
If someone’s just sticking to their airfield like glue for a prolonged period, regardless of if there’s enemies around. Just leave them to it, go farm some AA/Pillboxes and win on tickets.
They’re only wasting their own time that way.

theyre wasting everyone’s time doing that, which is why base aa is a bigger problem, it encourages just steaming to airfields once the fight gets ever so slightly in favour for the enemy

I actually quite like it when people do this.
Rewards are directly tied to battle duration.
If someone wants to drag the game out, and allow me to farm a bunch of cheap free and easy RP/SL mopping up ground AI, all whilst ceding us the victory on tickets, I’m more than happy to take that deal.
It’s a rare treat being able to stack rewards without trial or contest in this game.

Yeah thats what I did but my ream was so usefull that we almost lost all tickets and I couldn’t get enough ground vehicels with my gsh 23 2 on my j8b
Surely there’s more fun things to be done than strafing helpless guys on the runway?

I feel theres difference between intentionally camping the airfield as part of your strategy
And just waiting for windown to land anf leave as to not give the enemy the kill for free.

it ends the game quick, if you cant land you cant land, you shouldnt be given a freebie at the expense of making the game worse.

im pretty sure it used to be, but since recently ive started getting sniped by things like veak, it has become essentially impossible to attack airfields without a2g weaponry, which whilst i like the idea that would be only if people actually had a reason to bring a2g weaponry.
right now it makes no sense as a change

They usually do it when they have a ticket advantage and a skill/numbers disadvantage. It’s pussy behavior

Then fly something that has low ammo count and enjoy rearming for 5 ground targets instead of going in another match and having some fun/reward fighting players. If the match is far from decided, then yes strafing is a way to show you suck at the game but at the end, with a slight ticket disadvantage and a high numbers advantage it isnt. There are so many games 1v5 or more, and the one guy wins because he skillfully flies low alt circles over his af. Or 1v3s where one guy has to “camp” the airfield to keep the remaining enemy at a disadvantage.
