Then you have plenty of T-72 and T-80.
Light vehicles are the only proper vehicles needed for USSR at the moment that, if I could choose, was the best option.
Replying to the topic, these could be nice additions however, for sake of balance, Object 195 is very unlikely, and Object 640 still doubtful, it was been mentioned in the latest Major update stream but not being certain to be a event vehicle or whatever.

I do agree that the USSR tree is well fleshed out other than scout vehicles. however the sheer volume of russian lights all in the same BR brackets (while also being undertiered to hell) makes me dread further additions just being yet another damn bmp.
Whats really needed is things like the BRDM 2

I agree with you that the amount of BMDs was unexpected, which I agree. I find a rather poor addition wasting on resources for the BMD-4M2, which honestly could’ve be a good battlepass vehicle as it doesn’t bring nothing new to the table other than being a researchable BMD-4.
The BRDM-2 can be a good addition, honestly not so great for me, as I’m expecting a proper top-tier light tank for USSR, preferentially Kurganets-25. Being equipped with the 14.5 mm machine gun, I don’t expect being a game breaking. The BRDM-2 9P133 could fill some gaps not only for the anti-tank line in USSR but in German and Italian tech tree.

We should’ve gotten the BMD-1 and BMD-2 instead of the lame BMD-4. Those 2 ones are symbolic.
What we need too are proper scouting vehicles like the BRDM. People will probably complain about the armament but it’s a scouting vehicle (teamwork challenge level impossible). We need more like these!
