Mine is the il-2-37.
Il-2M type 3 is my favorite, its always been my go-to brain-off grinder since first unlocked it back in 2013
I think the German IL2 is my most used.
As eddie said, the german premium one is an awesome lineup filler, especially if you’re rolling with the Scoutpanzer .
I’ve never personally used the IL-2s that much ( Su-6 exists) but i had lots of fun with the Type 3 and M-82 ones

I hate them all… But that doesn’t mean I don’t use them… Between the two I use (the German one and IL-2M Avenger) I’d say the Avenger is my preferred one…
Also, sidenote, could I recommend moving this to the machinery of war or community section so it does not get locked? :)

They are all decent (even the -37 if you prefer gun attackers) with steady improvements as you work through them but the Il-2M3 is certainly the best of the primary family. It gets slightly better performance than the earlier variants depite the heavier airframe and adds a much needed punchy rear gunner.
But at 3.7 is the Il-8 which is an all round improvement other than losing its rockets, although the upgrade to 500kg bombs is worth it in most circumstances. Of course it’s a limited vehicle but worth it if you can get one.
I want to like the Il-10 but the BR bump doesn’t seem justified.
