For more than one occasion, I see some people crash their chopper to me to get away penalty-free kill, and immediately leave the heli PVE run. Thanks to Gaijin for letting people get away with this type of teamkilling without penalty, and even if you report them with video evidence, they will maybe act 3 months later.
They do get punished, the teamkill and griefing bans that are longer than one week are listed in the monthly “Fair Play” posts together with the cheat bans. There are many more shorter bans issued but they are not listed or mentioned.
Here is that part of the latest “Fair Play” post:
We sadly cannot use images or videos as evidence as they are way to easily manipulated. There has to be a correct report made, using the in-game complaint system or the server replay function (depending on the offence that is being reported), for us to be able to do anything. A guide on how to create a correct report for each issue can be found here: (How to properly report players and contact Game Masters!). Please note that some issues cannot be reported using the in-game complaint system as the reports won’t contain the necessary logs to investigate.
We do not punish on the request of players and all reports are handled in a predetermined order. We also cannot disclose if any actions have been taken due to privacy reasons.
If you want to discuss teamkilling then there is already a post for that:
As someone who spent dozens of hours in heli PVE, my guess is you have no clue how the mechanics of the gamemode work and are thus ruining the game for everyone else.
For example, rewards are based entirely on score earned (with 300 score giving you like 95% of the maximum earnable reward, and horrific diminishing returns beyond this point) and survival (rewards pay out every 10 minutes after you spawn based on what you earned during that 10 minute period, and if you die that timer resets).
Very often people go do all objectives, kill everything, pay no attention to the team and rack up 500 or 1000 points every 10 minutes, all for an extra 3% or so rewards for themselves while screwing over everyone else on the team.
There’s also the fact that many helis have no ATGMs or the ones they do have are too short-ranged to effectively fight SPAA, which some supremely selfish players use to their advantage by killing everything else in sector battles / convoys before touching the SPAA to reduce competition.
Or the plain fact that heli battles do not start until there’s 4 players and can get up to 16 per battle, but there’s only enough score on the map for 3-4 players (and that’s if everyone’s coordinating and cooperating without being selfish, which almost never happens).
