I don’t like the Russian canons, mostly because I have piss aim and the low ammo count hurts lol.

You forgot about the 23mm Type 23-2K cannons of the Q-5A and L, which for some reason are 10.0 in Air RB now. These have slow muzzle velocity and probably the worst damage of any cannon at its tier.
Also, I have no idea why you said 30mm DEFAs are the worst. The damage is great and they are decent overall. First place for terrible cannon at high tier undoubtedly goes to GSh-23; it is similar to a water gun and has a very high dispersion and low range. Exactly the opposite of “very accurate”, you must have mistaken it with another cannon.

The 23mms found on the Q-5s are definitely the worst IMO, but you didn’t include those. But I think the BK-27s and the Chinese variant of the NR30s are the worst to use. The BK-27s don’t feel right, and the Chinese ones have worse belts than the Russian NR30s.
First of all, I just can’t understand why you call every ‘rotary cannon’ a minigun.
Calling the GAU-8 a ‘minigun’ is wild.

I don’t think both ADEN/DEFA are that bad unless you are using it on SHAR FA2
And it is quite silly that you underestimating DEFA and overestimating ADEN at the same time, as long as both are quite similar.

ADENs (in my experience) are the worst guns I’ve ever used. Seeing the BK27 up there is interesting, I really like the thing, the damage is the only downside. ADENs/DEFA 552s are identical, 553/554s are better than the ADENs (velocity and fire rate) GsH 23 is fair, the thing is a waterpistol but most of the time it hits good. M61 is interesting, thats argueably top tier’s best gun

30mm ADEN. The usually weird placement and low muzzle velocity just makes it a chore to use.
Actually. I’d argue the FA2 is the best at the moment because its the only one with EEGS 😜
The other harriers, lightning, javelin, hunter, etc are all a pain
Can someone please explain to me why people hate the BK27? I love it. Fast firerate, easy to aim, good damage output, high penetration for ground targets and it has a cool name
I chose the NR30 (It’s atrociously bad) but after that I’d go for the ADEN/DEFAs because they’re difficult to aim for me personally (the reason I hate the NR30)

My bad. I thought it was a variant of Gsh-23.
I typed it on a mobile device. [Minigun] fits small screens better than [Rotary Cannon] and [Rot. Can] is confusing. Everyone knows what a minigun is, even if it may only relate to the specific 7.62 M134 irl
I don’t mind the NR 30 to be honest, the only issue is that the planes that use it often have very little ammo. The BK27 is hated probably due to its lack of ammo and pretty bad damage output. The ballistics are very nice tho
They also tend to be bricks I suppose, except the MiG-19 but I do horribly in that due to the NR30s I just can’t aim them.
I personally love the damage, maybe it’s because I use stealth belts? I’m not sure, but I’ve always loved the BK27, the high volume of fire has won me many engagements in both the JAS-39C and the Tornados
My theory is that because how common and accessible it is (Tornado IDS). Unfortunately, the tornado series are horrible gunfighters. Also, the other planes that mount them, like EFT, while being decent fighters, guns are less relevant at the tier.
That makes sense, however I love intercepting in the Tornado then running away. Play it like an F-104 and the guns are just perfect. They vomit out shells which tear through everything. Especially the IDS variants with the twin cannons.
DEFA I guess is pretty similar.
Using it on the Mirage III and kfir is a big risk move. It will even easily lose head on duels to F-4C (a clown plane flown by inexperienced players), you can literally see the tracers flying around the target and hoping at least one shell connects.
ADEN 25 on the Harrier GR.7 is so nice tho :) Real shame it gets like 3s trigger time though
Yeah its really funny. I consider the 30mm ADEN one of the hardest (if not the hardest) guns to use on the British TT but consider the 25mm ADEN the best
Was playing the T10 yesterday and absolutely destroyed an F-4 that did a quick pass in front of my nose

Yea the ADEN 25 is among the best or the best, I just find the BK27 really easy to use. Pretty funny the Aden 25 never made it to service yet its found on the T.10 and GR.7 in game
There was a gunpod made for the Gr7/9 and co, just was never used operationally, or something and was used on the Hawks too and something else im forgetting. But NATO Standardization for you. It does make sense that the 27mm just became the standard for basically everyone. If it hadnt, I could see the 25mm ADEN being in the running for main gun for whatever our 4th gen would have been. (though they may have still kept the 27mm just for easy logistics from the Tornado)
