Arena APS and Arena-M APS are different. Arena-M is more modern. The new T-72B3 will have Arena, not Arena-M. The T-72B3A tank, currently in the game, has Arena-M. Regarding the difference between these two tanks, the tank currently in the game has “Relict” ERA on its side skirts, which is the latest generation ERA. However, the event vehicle tank has “Contact-5” ERA on its side skirts, which is older and worse. Furthermore, the engine of the new T-72B3 tank, unlike the current one, is an older and inferior model.
As it said in the Event blog;
it uses a worse engine, uses Kontakt-5 instead of Relikt on the sides. Its essentially the TT T-72B3 w/ the T-72B3A’s Arena

One I care about since it’s a ground event vehicle, the other I don’t since it’s TT so I’ll unlock in a while regardless
functionally nothing really.
This is on the same tier as the israeli meteor jet event in how nothing really changes from a TT vehicle but it takes 7 hours every 2 days for a month to unlock it
