What is going on with bug reports?

What is going on with the bug reporting system?
I realize that there are a lot of reports, but if a system has been created that you are unable to control, maybe something needs to be changed?
There are a lot of reports that go unnoticed for several months. There are cases like the one below where after a year the bug is still not fixed.

Maybe you need people who have more time to check reports? Or maybe more are needed?

Some may just need to be investigated over time, since some issues maybe very difficult to track down and just need more reports

Other reports may be of a lower priority

For others they may need research and development time

There can be lots of reasons to consider…
