What happened to the Soviet KV-1 Mod 1942?

The Finnish captured KV-1 Model 1942 with the cast turret was a very cool adition. Almost emediately people requested this variant to be added to the Soviet tech tree as well, considering there are now 2 cast turreted KV-1’s, both of which are premiums and not in the Soviet tree.

The reply to this was that there are in fact plans to add it to the Soviet tree, however, this was over 1 and a half years ago now. This is especially frustrating considering (as it stands right now) only a single WWII vehicle will be added in the ‘Line of Contact’ update, which is a premium aircraft.

I am aware Gaijin for some reason doesn’t like the idea of giving too much attention WWII era vehicles as they said last QnA, but do y’all think this thing may be added some day?

They are idiots. There’s a ton of players that like to play ww2 vehicles - some exclusively ww2 vehicles.

Exactly this. “But there already are a ton of WWII vehicles!” So? Is that really an excuse to barely add anything anymore, when there’s so much left to add as well?

Yep, and that thing was added to the Chinese tree over 3 years ago, so I guess I’ll wait a couple more years then

Its currently having a tea party with the hungarian low tier airtree in locked up hangar, with nailed in windows and no central heating. (Probably)

Most likely, the Swiss and BeNeLux ground trees should be somewhere there as well
