The problem is that ATAS does no have proxy. Irl it was so accurate it did not needed it, but in game it’s a different story.
Yeah, that doesn’t help either
They surely can, but this is depended on how big of a change it is.
M735 lost like 50ish mm of flat pen, meanwhile Stingers would get +7G of load, photo-contrast seeker and whatnot. Tell me which change is more impactful ?
Sorry, but where does it say so in this brochure? I can’t see it.
The changes to M735 impacted far more vehicles, and had a significant impact on effective combat ranges against many opponents that said vehicles face.
First dot point under the Capabilities heading, it should be able to also mount the FIM-92C & -92E, which are the RMP & RMP Block I respectively. Either of which would be a significant improvement as they would also be covered by POST seeker lock on range increase report, mentioned previously and so extend the All Aspect lock on range out to ~6km or so.
I was talking about Strela and it’s 9M37M missile. That ZSU has the 9M39 missile which is clearly inferior to the former.
You’ll also have to consider the platform missiles are mounted on. For example, LAV-AD is much more mobile than ZSU, has thermals, better gun and has Hydras. It also has 3x the missile count.
Only thing it lacks is the radar, although ZSU’s radar is pretty crap to begin with.
Stormer AD is much more mobile than ZSU, has thermals, better radar and gun but with much lower ammo count though. It also has 2x the missile count.
I don’t know about you, but both of those seem to be superior to the ZSU.
This is most likely because it doesn’t have a proxy fuse. I haven’t really noticed 92Ks miss all that often.
If the stinger performance is so poor you need 2 to 3 per target, then ammo count shouldn’t affect BR.
So stinger buffs won’t increase the BR considering you have better MANPADS at a lower BR already. The other buffs would certainly be the reason for them being a higher BR, but putting stinger onpar with IGLA won’t
Considering both 92K and 9M39 have very similar HE filler and both share 1m proxy fuse, I don’t think former will take much more hits to kill something than latter would, so ammo count does matter.
What makes you believe that 9M39 is better than 92K ?
Putting Stingers on par with 9M37M would automatically increase the BR of all Stinger slingers with 8 ammo to 10.3, right where Strela sits.
Some might go up even further, considering Strela is really a barebones vehicle that lacks things like autocannon, radar and thermals.
For example, in case of Stinger buffs that would put them on par with 9M37M, I have no clue how LAV-AD could stay at 10.0 or even 10.3.
Not really, igla behaves in a completely unrealistic way, and western manpads have the wrong maneuverability and in general are missing important features
Its not on any production model because it
Didnt work very well, the way it behaves ingame is black magic
If this was 50 years ago maybe. Russia id in ni way even close to being more advanced in missile tech than any western aligned country
Because gaijin is a joke, they pick and choose what they consider “balance”
Then they add things like pantsir and kh-38 while nations like Israel have no long range weapons or spaa to counter… yeah real balanced
Don’t know why, it’s simply as an explanation and has the best angle to explain it.
Not really an explanation as much as you are misenterpreting whst youre seeing.
It’s almost identical, just turning left, not right, with a worse camera angle
Give me a first hand source, and don’t just find five different ways to say “No, you are wrong, and I have nothing to prove it” and I’ll believe you.
Its completely different lmao, the degrees its deflecting is not even half of ehat it does in the video. And the igla does not have any gas generstor on production models it just deflects the fins.
I never said anything about a gas generator, at all
I know, my point is that you cant generate the amount of deflection ingame by simply deflecting the fina
