So I’m about to unlock this thing. It’s 9.7 with +35/-5 elevation and no radar. Compared to the 9.7 roland it just seems flat out worse? Also in test drive the camera seems to like doing 180s when i fire missiles. Not sure if that’s intended.
Its goal is to be a worse Rapier at the same BR and still get called OP by the brits and heli players
Also I know this isn’t a balancing factor, but there is a grand total of 1 TT vehicle at 9.7 and none at 10.0. So if you have to play it at 10.3 might as well use the ASRAD.
Its just how it goes, other nations are the same.
No RWR ping; decent maneuverability. It’s just to be a short range anti-heli and low flying craft vehicle.
it’s a Beam-riding SAM, with IRST tracking device - efficient if you guys have good eyes and clean from radar warning recievers (ennemy have no clue, unless it watch himself the missile going for him)

From my experience, it’s a solid piece, I have an almost 1-1 KDR, just shy of it by 1 kill. But yes, it’s a really good vehicle when used and positioned right. A little trick I learned from it was positioning up a hill gives you extra elevation.
It’s awful. Only good for revenge killing helo’s when you know where they are. Should certainly be 9.3.
