What does Gaijin intend to achieve with these map modifications?

All I see is that they’re trying to hinder the grind in some way; I don’t see anything beyond that. This isn’t relevant to the TOP TIER. Why are small, 1-point maps in the top tier? Top tier should be about competition!!! Another issue is the presence of 11.3 premiums in the top tier. Players who only want to grind are more passive, usually campers, and often don’t contribute much to the match. At most, they might flank, but with these reduced maps, Gaijin is affecting the top tier because they want to reduce the grind.

I can’t believe this; they didn’t even conduct a global survey. This is just a way to undermine the grind. Since they don’t have control over 11.3, it ends up affecting 11.7, also known as top tier.

what i personally want, is a wide variety of maps. not all CQC. not all long range. but what i most certainly dont want to see is half of the maps redconned and limited to a straight arrow that doesnt provide options. options to flank, options to counter.

gaijin is removing those options. blowing up bridges. making entire halfs of maps inaccessable.

mozdok conquest 2. mozdok conquest 3. surroundings of volokolamsk. novorossiysk domination. old sinai with the hill. sinai is probably the best example of gaijin misunderstanding the objective. replacing a flanking hill side, that was atleast interesting and exciting to traverse, with freaking desert. no one asked for more desert ffs.

and now they added a map of eastern europe and pushing it down our throats, where the 3 capture points are within spitting distance. no one asked for this.

or north holland where half the map is literally cut off. no one asked for this.

removing the entire covered forest area of fields of poland like the map was in the first iteration it got added to the game. now its all flat lands, and almost trimmed into a freaking desert.

NO ONE. asked for any of this.

i never once saw gaijin come with a survey, asking us what we wanted. they just change stuff based on their own stats. stats that those incompetent fools wont even publish to us, so we can see how they are supposed to know what we want. they dont do any of that shit.

so here we are. seeing how gaijin pushes bad changes down our throats. without even confining to us.

We actually have an okayish map pool, unfortunately as players we have no influence on the maps we get from the matchmaker, except for the one map ban per mode for premium players…

A proper map filter would already help a lot.

The worst new(ish) badly implemented addition has to be suddenly becoming visible to the enemy when you are in their spawn even though you might be miles away.At least show us where the damn cut off point is.
You are playing GRB then suddenly you are playing arcade.
Absolute waste of time trying to run the gauntlet to get into a position to cut the enemy off .

I’m so bored off the game right now ,its just so full of limitation ,its all turned to shit so quickly.The game just panders to the whiny .If you are so scared of spawn campers then play the kids game and stick to arcade.

Well i am a player and I do not support the smoler maps. Why was I not asked and why is some random bozo´s needs more important then my? Do I not pay?
