So once the F-18 is released what is everyone’s thoughts on how it’s gameplay is gonna play as?

F-15A mixed with the F-16C at least as the start?

It’s probably not going to come this update (still possible but I have my doubts).
If it does come it will go either 2 ways:
It has a below 1:1 thrust to weight ratio, meaning it will either be like the Gripen and a UFO, or the Flanker and a floating brick…

depends on loadouts.
with full fuel load it will be near to 1:1.
Also must have fuel dump(like su-27), so, can get lighter during dogfight
and lol, it better than F-16C in sustained turn

The F/A-18E can barely come near 1:1 on an empty load with no armament….

It can outrate an F16s and F15s at low speed. It has INSANE AoA and control in said AoA. It has a good radar and can carry up to 10 AMRAAMS.

NATOPS flight manual states 24-25k pounds.
you have 2x17700(18000 stated in manual) pound engines, stated by manufacturer.(but thats static, idk is there thrust envelope for installed 404.
10110 pounds of JP-5 fuel, stated by manual.
25000+10110=35110
17700*2=35400
35110<35400
so, TWR will be more than 1.
It absolutely should be good with the massive amount of lift the aircraft can generate, but gaijin is gaijin… I don’t trust them…
It’ll probably be busted on the dev server and then fall out of the sky when you pull more than 2 g’s when it goes live

you can bet your bottom dollar that IF we get that F18 and IF it can carry 10 AMRAAMS, that I absolutely gonna fly out with 10 AMRAAMS. I’ll “get rid of the weight” quite easily I think

Similarly to F-15C (lots of AMRAAMs) but will be slower
Should be more maneuverable clean though
I guess some middle grounds between F-15C and F-16C
