Its just like there are no true D.U APFSDS round in the game, because if they correctly modeled D.U Darts they would kill everyone in the tank and automatically set fires and melt everything in the tank.

This literally isn’t possible if the interior is RHA.
Any spall reduction during shell travel would be negated by it… hitting regular RHA at the end.

Unless you mean to imply that the interior of the Abrams is also Depleted Uranium, and that it would spall Depleted Uranium when penetrated? Wouldn’t that be dangerous, considering shells made out of it should set everything on fire and basically kill everything instantly, apparently:

Your graphic shows that a blanket spall liner doesn’t make sense if its in the armour array and there is no blankets in the crew compartments.

One could say that the flaws of the ZTZ-99A stem from the design itself, but consider that:

• 1b. The ZTZ-99A should have a 6.6 second reload, not a 7.1 second reload, as their autoloader design was updated. (Additionally, the carousel modeled on the dev server is far larger than the Russian one on tanks like the T-72 for no benefit)
• 2b. The ZTZ-99A should have roughly -8 degrees of gun depression with its angled turret ring, but comparing a test drive between it and a vehicle with -8 degrees of gun depression on paper, it’s considerably worse, so it’s not modeled.
• 3b. The ZTZ-99A (and other Chinese tanks) should have the same 80mm base side armor as Russian tanks, yet it’s modeled as 50mm for… no reason whatsoever. Keep in mind that they even modeled the ZTZ-88A with 80mm of side armor at the beginning, which is basically the same hull as the ZTZ-96, which had evolved from a T-54 (with 80mm of side armor). And they nerfed it later. Just so they can be worse than Russian tanks.
• 4b. Not only should the Chinese shell penetrate 600mm+, but there is another shell that has not yet been added that penetrates even more than that. The 577mm figure was taken off of a forum post claiming the DTC shell “should be” a % better than 125-I. Chinese players even leaked documents over this…
• 5b. The ZTZ-99A should have full spall liner coverage akin to the Leopard 2A7, which has been reported and its breech should be far smaller and tougher, along with its LFP, which has been reported Discussion on ZTZ99A model errors in game - Machinery of War Discussion / Ground Vehicle - War Thunder — official forum , therefore its survivability has been HEAVILY nerfed, artificially.
• 6b. The vertical traverse speeds on Chinese tanks are basically made up. They don’t know the exact number, but you can be sure they’ll give them worse values than other vehicles.

NO the spall liner is wedged between the plates, which is why if the abrams is ever penetrated, the only thing that will be made is a small hole , which has been seen in numerous pictures, and even on wiki leaks where a unknown projectile penetrate the side of a Abrams. No crew were killed.

That doesn’t make sense, as Nano has shown in his graphic. How can a spall liner in the armour array catch spall from the plates that it is in front of. Nano’s art shows this doesn’t make sense. IF SOMEHOW the abrams does have a integrated SL then it would be closer to how my graphic showed its protection.

Maybe I should have stated it in my original messages, the reason why specifically pointed out the Abrams and Merkava as they currently have the bug report open on Integrated Spall Liners, in case those reports were referenced. I would need to go read that research more on those and there sources.

I want Minor tanks to be a better spot. Every nations suffer from Sweden and Russia tanks dominance.

Abrams have their problems
Challengers have their problems
Leopards have their problems (they are still really good tho)
Arietes have their problems
Leclercs have their problems
ZTZs have their problems
Merkava have their problems
Type 90/10 have their problems

Anytime Spall liners are mentions, any topic quickly devolves into cave man era unga bunga. Since gaijin decided to shoehorn spall liners into the game and only to certain tanks. It leads to a sense of unfairness.

Gaijin confirmed Arietes and leclercs would be getting their SL, Leclercs still have yet to get their and Arietes spall liners are just 2 dinky blankets on the turret cheeks and still not word on the ZTZ and theirs, actually insulting.

EVENTUALLY every nation gets their spall liners, thats going to leave the Merkavas and Abrams in a spot (gameplay wise and balance wise) where they don’t have them while everyone else does. So the that bridge will eventually need to be crossed.
