What do you think about the new interface for shells?

The new interface, or display for shells animations was added recently, and it now shows shell’s kinetic pen AND the high-explosive pen. It also is more detailed, with decimal points added. What do you guys think about the bullets/autocannons/shells round display?

It’s new, it’s different, and I hate it. Eventually I’ll probably grow to like it and get used to it. Just takes time to get over the change when you’re so used to the old, familiar stat cards.

I think that it’s overall better, but the info is a bit compacted and harder to find.

Yeah…It looks more ‘modern’ and neat tho. A bit annoying since I am also used to the old one.

I have to get used to it.

They do need to do some refining to the location of things.

In scope you see range marks vertically. Its reasonable, the further your enemy, the lower is needed distance mark. People are used to the old shell cards, where distance is also put this way.
WHO TF DECIDED IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT DISTANCE HORISONTALLY???

Also most shells has angle performance listed like 0 → 30 → 60
BUT AUTOCANNONS FOR SOME REASON HAVE 30 → 0 → 60
Just why???

Wait so the 400m 800m thing on the scope of tanks is now in horizontal. How? The shell falling down a bit as it travels, but it does not move sideways? What is this logic of Gaijin?

Its horisontal in the shell card, not in the scope, off alarm.

Oh…Thank God that it is not one the scope. Yeah…I checked it, and hell yea it is visibly painful.

Chemical ammunition, specially heat has a table with some penetration values and I don’t understand why, I don’t know if the discrepancy between angle and the @ 0º penetration value, eventually we’ll understand but in my opinion, only the kinetic-energy penetration would be a great addition if they kept the older design.

For me though, the horizontal penetration in mm is not that bad, since the GUI got bigger. Also, the penetration value on HE and HEAT (FS) are how much mm is penned by the explosion of the shell. For example, the 155mm shot in the M109G has 61.1mm of penn. This pen is how much the explosion fragments deal against Armour. The kinetic energy penn is how much the force of the shell (normally AP and HE rounds) can break through armor. So those two are shown separately.

Add-on note:
The reason why HEAT and HE rounds have all the same amount of penn at all distances is also because of this reason; its the explosion that does penning, not the kinetic energy. Kind of gets affected by angled armor, but not as much as AP rounds as HEAT and HE don’t ricochet.

Yeah that giant table listing the terrible kinetic penetration, which doesn’t play any role for actual gameplay, is awful.

It’s genuinely disgusting. I’ve only seen pictures of it as I haven’t played since the update, but I really hate it. I don’t know where anything is, I don’t know where to look. Give us the old shell performance interface along with old stat card pictures back.
