What can save American top tier air?

that is not true

yeah idk why people keep hyping the in game 120D

if anything they are slightly worse than the C5 because they are slightly heavier

people just be saying crap. i genuinely dont understand how people thing gnss somehow improves both notching and energy retention. hell probably also makes me coffee

Is there any truth to the often repeated claims that GNSS paired with datalink makes AIM-120D and PL-12A harder to chaff and notch against multipathing targets?

no

120C will hit the same shots when it is guided by DL

if there is any difference it is small enough to be negligible

This is the double standard I hate. Foreign trees get sub trees, tested vehicles and “compatible” weapons but people freak out of the US F5 gets flares. I’m sure foreign mains will demand the F35 before the US gets it because “we don’t need” all of our vehicles when other operators get them.

So then why did Germany get the Leopard 2AV when it was built specifically for the US tank competition with the XM1? Germany didn’t build it, Krauss Maffei did.

120D still doesn’t have a significantly higher Pk against multipathing, they just dive into the ground like C-5
That’s when it goes active and my radar updating DL.

The so-called energy retention is achieved by extra 1kg maybe?

One thing I do find different is that you can kill airborne helos with DL. I managed to kill Z-10ME and Mi28NM several times with that trick.
It’s probably the GNSS doing its job cuz seeker never goes active during flight and even till hit, on the other hand, those helos seldom change their position.

Really? Will try that next time i play GRB since it would be much safer to do so then trying to kill them with guns

It sometimes misses out when they suddenly accelerate and you need to launch another shot.

In this case seeker lost track due to chaff or mp but managed to hit in IOG+DL
DK if this is feasible with C-5

I’m sorry, but what the fuck is this question ? Save ? I can’t speak… Like it is one of the most diversified toptier nation in toptier air, if not the best. It’s toptier F&F are very competitive, the suspended armament to farm ground tagets, the number of missiles, … I mean te F15E is maybe not the best dogfighter, but it still is extremly good in BVR.
Please comare it to Japan, Ok they have a Su-30 but it is just the same as the Venezuelian su-30 that sits at 13.3 with Kh38-MT that only will be used in GRB, but Japan itself only have the F-2 and F15J(M) that I don’t consider toptier anymore. AAM-4 badly modelled, and the AAm-3 seeker as well, no AAM-4B,…
i hope AAM-4B will be good when t will go out; I don’t want Gaijin to release it too late to be good like they did with the F-2.

Well technically Australia isn’t a sub tree and was never confirmed as one.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, Comet may well be a European export success, and other Eurofighter and Rafale customers will be interested.

No the fuck it is not the same???
The japanese MKM has a PESA radar thrust vectoring a better RWR and a MAWS/LWS system
It has a better missile aswell in the form of the RVV-SD Which is literally just an export R-77-1
Also gets access to the damocles pod which is a VERY good TGP when paired with the KH-38MT
Its basically a slightly better SU-30SM
Like i dont think you understand how much of an improvement everything i just listed there is

While the venezuelian SU-30 has no thrust vectoring a vastly worse mechanical radar No MAWS/LWS and a older RWR no TGP or KH-38MT And its best AAM is the RVV-AE Just an export R-77 that is quite well behind the R-77-1

Like i almost wonder if you even have flown the japanese SU-30 it easily can compete at toptier and is sure as hell better than the F-15E that is stuck with Aim-120A/B and C-5 with a pretty ass mechanical radar after all ive flown both aircraft and definitely prefer the MKM
Also the MKM not only has more missiles than the F-15E with a whopping 14 total it also gets some of the best in the game only being 2nd to the Mica

First of all, this topic was created back in 25th december 2025 when US did struggle and it has gotten alot better since then thanks to MCM.

Yes lets compare it with Japan now. While Japan might be suffering now, but in future (In 2026 itself) this most likely won’t be the case at all

I am pretty sure AAM-4 is considered better then AMRAAM and AAM-3 uses the same seeker as 9M

Ah yes the very competitive F$F maverick and AGM-84H, So competitive that out of 6 mavericks launched, chance of getting even 4 kill sometimes very low and AGM-84H which does kill if it does not lose the target very easily,

I might be blind, Please encircle exactly where is KH-38MT in loadout of Venezuelan SSU-30

Most diversified you say? Let compare them including future jets
US: F-16C/CM/ADF, F-15C MISP II/GE/A/EX, F-15E, F-14A/B, F-18A/C late, AV-8B+, F-18E, F-22, F-35A/B/C. I think i have covered everything
Japan:

  1. Japanese jets: F-16A, F-15J/JM and F-2A, F-35
  2. Thailand: F-16A OCU, Gripen-C/E (E has been order and is expected to be delivered between 2030 and 2025)
  3. Malaysia: SU-30MKM, F-18D, Mig-29N, T-50
  4. Indonesia Rafale, SU-30, SU-27, F-16C/D, KF-21 (KF-21 and has been ordered by not received, KF-21 is supposed to be delivered soon)

That’s basically on jet from every nation (except form China and Israel)
The only thing that i see Japan missing now is the EFT but i am sure there must be someother sub tree from where japan would also get

I see so much suffering for Japan

I could have sworn one of those nations were looking into buying a J series aircraft of some sort
Likely J-10C or JF-17
Unless was it cancelled?

Good ragebate

Ah yes, I forgot about them too. Indonesia is currently in talks to acquire J-17. As for J-10C, Indonesia have said that they will acquire them

Also potentially SU-57 as well if Malaysia does decide to buy it
