What can save American top tier air?

Can we see the entire document?

MBDA Seeker Division - Products and Technologies

Any idea why the page has been removed?

mbda.net became mbda-systems.com so mbda.net became defunct.

Strange, as that info can’t be found on official pages anymore. Or can it?

That’s not out of the norm, a good portion of historical bug reports submitted to Gaijin use archived old links that contains information that the current modern day materials do not have. Current Meteor brochures don’t have this information, yes.

You see, the issue is that an RCS of, say, 0.01m^2 in X band, roughly translates into 0.002m^2 in Ku band.
It doesn’t make much sense to field a missile that is supposed to fight the GEN4.5/5 planes, that has a worse seeker to find those planes, in the first place. I mean, IDK, Meteor maybe has Ku band seeker indeed, but some kinda info newer than the 20 years old one, would be welcome.

Increasing frequency for radar increases the range of the radar if all else is the same according to MBDA, so your conclusion isn’t correct.

"“Radar theory shows that in similar conditions, increasing the frequency focuses the energy into a narrower beam, which has the dual effect of increasing both radar range and angular resolution”

(Timestamp 0:17)

You can see here that the Aster-30 went from Ku-band to Ka-band which is a higher frequency allowing it to narrow the beam and focus the energy into higher ranges.

In space. We play in atmosphere, sadly, although GJ ignores that fact.
Also, I was talking about RCS, but since I don’t have numbers, only conjecture, I guess, waybackmachine and MBDA physics WILL make the Ku band Meteor track F22, or F35, after all.

barely if what you and others have said about seeker frequencies is correct

If GJ’s treatment of MICA and 120 is any indication, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I mean, MICA (and Rafale as a guiding platform) has already been modeled wrong (or dubious at best) on so many levels its not even funny. Now, imagine having MICA with 100km NEZ. Yeah, not gonna be funny for anyone but Meteor slingers.

I know, I meant clickbait in the og sense not the tank with a chair

That’s a good thing tbh, a bad team is worse than good enemies sometimes
The game would be more enjoyable if low level premium users at high tiers weren’t a thing

yeah then youre right, the big 3 are inherently going to have more new players and less skilled players due to that, but if you consider the situation the us was before that its the stats werent bad.

its definetly lead to better lobbies for the us at top tiers but id rather amraams were fixed

the micas big issue is an artificial rage limitation, as in it cannot exceed 50km traveled but i have not seen any solid info on the actual flight characteristics being wrong as it certainly has very good kinematics in game for med range. that NEZ is unrealistic even for the NG but i am gonna assume it was an exaggeration.

Probably.

Meteor is love. Meteor is life. Meteor is the #1 in NEZ (still under 100 km, sadly)

In TTAA the only unbalanced thing is the micah and gawdamn rafels. If I can kill then with 13.3 rvve’s I should be able to kill them with one of the 14.3 120’s. Everything else is a skill issue.

Dont worry, Meteor MLU and Comet will be in service in a few years

It’s gonna be a while for the Meteor if it’s as good as claimed. Not many other missiles that can be added to balance it.

It wouldnt be added to be balanced against missiles. It would be added to be balanced against aircraft. Meteor would give the 4.5s an edge over the 5th gens.
