What can save American top tier air?

Quite frankly I’m not continuing this seeing as you have devolved it into attacking me, rather than engaging with me in discussion. I hope you have good day and or night, i know i will.

I did not have MAWS. At least the American variant

With all the updates F-22 has been getting wouldn’t it be doing the same?

the early ones did have MAWS shortly, and the MAWS bumps are still there

But they removed it later. I doubt it gaijin will give it

could just get maws based off compatibility anyway

The point was the F22 using it’s radar to locate the typhoon. Pinging the typhoons RWR and then display the exact position of the F22 in the HMD

surely f-22 also has this ability with scorpion? same hmd as rafale

I don’t know.

But the point is the F22 is stealth and apparently totally and completely invisible meanwhile the Typhoon is not

If i am not mistaken even JHMCS II have this feature

yeah it does but f-22 doesnt use jhmcs 2 it uses scorpion
(from scorpion ad so its not actual symbology but point is there)

But it won’t be able to track it right? It would just reveal its position. A good F-22 pilot can turn on his radar fire and the turn it off. With plane to plane data link which i assume would be added before 5th gen, missile launched by F-22 can be directed by other plane

Well atleast F-16V and F-15EX would also have this feature since they use JHMCS II and are likely to come before 5th gen

Well, if he does that, then the missile is really easy to defeat and basically a waste of a missile, but half the challenge with stealth is locating it in the first place. Now I know the rough area to be pointing both my AESA and IRST into and also where I need to be defending from. Which destroys half the advantage the F22 had.

And I doubt plane to plane DL would be added

So for the entire match you would just focus on a single F-22? If if you remove its stealth which is its big advantage it would still be a good 4.5 gen with all upgrades it has. It still won’t be bad. It would only be missing gimble radar

If they are planning on adding 5th gen, then they must surely be planning on adding it

I guess this is one advantage the Rafale has over the EFT. If the F-22 pings the Rafale’s RWR, the RWR can slew the TV sensor to the F-22 with its laser, and then from there the Rafale can actively track the F-22 even if the F-22 shut off its radar, and then the Rafale can fire missiles through the TV/Laser.

Rafale’s TV sensor should be cued by its passive sensors. // Gaijin.net // Issues

Rafale TV sensor should provide firing capability for MICA-EM // Gaijin.net // Issues

For the EFT, it can get the location of the F-22 through the RWR, but once the radar is shut off, it’s basically unable to actively guide any missiles.

Which is kinda my point regarding why the need for them to be invisible as well is really dumb and no not necessarily, but if I’m up high and hunting, and I get pinged by an F22 it’s gunna be a threat I go looking for and most of the none gen 5s will probably die first. So eventually the match will become hunting down the gen 5s hiding like cowards somewhere at the maps edge

I don’t see why. Weve never gotten something like buddy lasing for example

What can other 5th gens even do beside F-22 and SU-57 which would have good FM. Other 5th gen like F-35 whose main purpose is not even for areial superiority

Half my point regarding gen 5s being overhyped.

Careful you will enrage the Americans

Other 5th gen sure are hyped. But F-22 and SU-57 will still be one of the best in game even if you remove stealth with SU-57 being on top due to r-37 and gimbled radar which F-22 would be missing. Though Eurofighter and rafale would still challenge them to steel those title.
