Missed this and it’s worth pointing out this goes for any kinematically strong aircraft. A good pilot playing the typhoon safe is immortal bottom line. Threatened? Turn around, accelerate away. F-22 will be the same.
Though still funny to slap an aircraft like an F16 or F18 in a Tonka because they got too ballsy
Ballsy?? More like completely incompetent lol.
Yeah that too. I’m waiting for the F22 to be a lower BR than the M-Scan Typhoons because of player stats
I love how you need to focus on probably the most insignificant part of what i was trying to convey. 200km-160km whatever, It’s still extreme BVR.
Pushing what? The NEZ? Because that’s closer to 60km than the max range of the 120D.
So can every single 14.3 except for the Superhornet. And further additions to the game won’t change than. F-15EX will be able to do it. J-16 will be able to do it. The F-22 will be able to do it. (and probably without afterburning)
So does pretty much every other plane if they want to have any chance in BVR.
It could also just not use it’s radar on purpose to close the gap.
Not going to get into AWACs but that’s also a thing they could add.
Unbelievable cope man
Unfortunately this all works on the assumption gaijin:
- adds 120D
- adds 120D correctly
I really hope not. You’d have to be almost trying to do badly for the F-22 to flop but US mains will find a way.
120A/B/andC aren’t even correct lol.
Not even 9L or 9G are.
Assuming of course F22s aren’t just using Aim120C1 to Aim120C5s
My point exactly.
Yeah, just look at the Abrams
Also assuming we’re not on 128x128km nightmare maps where by the time you’re in a kinematic position to launch a 60km missile and expect it to hit you’re already 40km away from the enemy.
Yep that too. Though I am looking forward to firing Meteors at F15s from 100+km away
Adding the 120D is pretty much a given if we’re getting PL-15 slingers. I do agree there’s basically zero chance they get them right.
typhoon gameplay loop c.2027
- spawn
- fox 3 (x8)
- 13G turn 180 degrees
- land
- repeat
Nothing new. Just a return to the F14A gameplay
aim54 if outturning it straight up wasn’t an option
But isn’t the fact that how radar seekers are currently modeled, it’s still piss easy to notch and chaff them even if you’re within the kinetic nez?
Unfortunately this is precisely why BVR oriented jets like the typhoon aren’t exactly meta (although I will say it’s still very very capable as many people still have no clue how to dodge. sitting at a comfortable 3.2 kd lmao). Missiles are so easy to evade that any somewhat skilled player can run you dry of missiles with relative ease.
Gunna laugh my head off if the Aim120D has the Aim120B seeker too
