Just as every other player, I flew American planes expecting to be the best of the best. I learned really quickly that America was really terrible, because I couldn’t turn fight like I could with the Swedish stuff (my first nation was Sweden). I know now that it was just a difference of style: I prefer turn fights, not boom and zoom.
Anyways, after my torturous run of playing and spading every American prop (back then I didn’t realise I could just do like three lines, I opted to spade every single plane to get to the top), I gave up on America. I decided that since I couldn’t properly fight, that they’re bad, and so I knew that if anything, I could get easy elims on American planes.
“Oh but why not bombers!” Because there is no honour in attacking bombers. They cannot fight back, American planes like the P-51 have the illusion of being able to fight. Especially if they’re noobs expecting “American firepower” while hugging the ground. So even to this day, when I fly against props, I always target specifically American planes or American premium planes in other countries.
The same holds true for premium BRs like the F-4S, F-18C Early, and those likes. 9 times out of 10 they are noobs, I have a severe distaste for Phantoms, and I know they are easy elims.
If I see an F104 or MiG-21S, I will always go after them specifically, just because of the pain they put me through when grinding my first nation (UK) at those BRs
For me its any T-34, M4 and the early T tanks (28 and 70)
It feels like a total gamble whenever I try to fight them. Do I hit a T-70 square on the side of its turret with a 120mm? Richoet. Shoot where it says is a weakspot in arcade on a M4 or T-34? Completely random damage. Hit the weak frontal segment of the T-28? Either it gets blown up or only one of the machine gunners gets ko’d.
I can manage the Tiger II, I can deal with literally any other tank family I fought but those 4. Personal skill issue? Yea definitely. Will I try to avoid direct confrontation with said vehicles by myself? Yes
Back before I figured out how to lean around in the cockpit, I used to fly inverted to scan the ground beneath me.
I still often go inverted to scan the ground even tho I’d learnt how to move head position around to see past the wing and nose when hunting for prey. I hear it’s good to move the legs when sitting for so long, after all.
Definitely got some bad vibes for the F4S and ju288 when they were introduced, along with Fixated players that won’t leave me alone after 10+ minutes of flying from them. Other then those, Pretty smooth sailing. (Also the strikemaster, those can all crash from pl)
